This is not my video, but it's the exact sound my truck is making. More of the high pitched creak at first. I've had the frame replaced and new 5100's, lower control arms, sway bar bushings etc etc. Everything was tight, I even ordered new upper ball joins and inner/putter tie rod ends but mechanic said mine were fine and didn't install them (sent them back for refund)

In this video I can see the person disconnected the sway bar end links (I just replaced mine with grease able ones as I thought the original ones were causing the noise)

Does anyone have any idea what is making this sound?? I drive on logging roads almost daily for work and it's driving me nuts! I have spray lubed just about every moving part in my front end with no luck

Ok, watched the video too many times. The sway bar is disconnected and knocking on the tierod.

What about rust frozen cam bushings?

Edit: I missed that you had a frame replacement. Your cam bushings should be new with the new LCA.

I know that, mine is all connected, just in this video the guy has it disconnected, I'm guessing he thought the same as I was thinking (noise coming from sway bar) so he disconnected it to eliminate that as a possibility.

It's annoying me because everything is new in the front end of my truck. I can replicate the sound by creeping forward or back and quickly pressing the brakes bringing truck to an abrupt stop (<1mph)

I'll have a better look at it tomorrow, but simply pushing on bumper to cycle the suspension doesn't make the noise.

Welp if not that, then as said already check the LCA torque and cam bolts and such. maybe check the 3 top hat nuts on the shock too?

I came on to them with a 1/2" drive ratchet and they seemed tight. What's the torque spec for them?

Here's another video of the sound, this guy doesn't even have a sway bar. In the comments they say it's the 5100's lower bolt/bushing seizing together, well nine are only a few months old so I can't see that happening, I also sprayed the crap out of them with a penetrating oil and no luck.

There's only 3 months of driving on my lca's. they were replaced with the frame around late march.

I'll try and find the torque spec for them. Is it real high, I had a pretty big ratchet and they wouldn't budge.

I checked the 3 upper nuts on the strut as well

Bent that rusted POS out of the way last Thursday when I did the sway bar end links. I'm going to torque the lca bolts to 100 ft/lbs and cross my fingers.

Well I just dropped the skids and torqued the lca bolts/nuts to 100 ft lbs (they didn't budge) so I uppped it to 110 ft lbs (recommended on here) and still didn't budge. I think it's safe to say they are not loose.

I could lube lca bushings better with skid plates dropped and up on ramps but it's still creekig like crazy.
It's almost as though the pennetrting oil is making it worse!
I'm going to take it to my mechanic tomorrow and see what he thinks. It's driving me crazy not being able to pin point what's causing it!

It's 11 here and I have to work at 6 so I'll try that tomorrow.

If (when) I find it I'll post the issue for future reference.
