Yes new bushings during frame replacement and I just installed new end links that are greaseable. I check intermediate shaft u joints. I bet they don't have grease fittings? My noise can be replicated by jacking one side of the truck up and just before the tire comes off the ground it'll pop/creak.

Remove the links off both sides. Then jack up the truck. If the problem goes away the issue is within your bar. Otherwise it is possible your LCA's may be too tight or just have defective bushings.

Unfortunately these 2nd gens creak, groan and pop like a cheap Ford of yesteryear.

Just tightened those 4 crossmember nuts/bolts. They did turn a little. Still doing it. It Sounds like it's coming from right at the front of the truck. Would over tightening the lca bolts/nuts cause this?

Just an update that might help people think of some causes of this creak/click sound I'm getting in my front end.

When you go forward and stop quickly (in driveway) it'll click/creak that first time then it won't do it again. Put it in reverse and it'll click the first time you stop. so if I go forward and stop it'll click, then reverse and stop it'll click.

Still sounds like it in the middle of the front end. I sprayed penetrating oil on coil spring ends, sway bar bushings, front aluminum bumper mounts, and re torqued all suspension points.
I'm starting to think it's the lower control arms (even though they are new toyota issued)

Are you 100% sure they replaced your LCAs? It sounds to me like they put the old ones on and the rusted bushings are creaking. This is from your description more than the other guy's video you posted.

They are definitely new. Nice and shiny black with toyota stickers. Would over tightening the lca bolts cause they to bind? Everything on this truck after frame swap seems very tight.

If it is just a click when braking it sounds like you have brake slap, common. Creaking, I don't know about however.

Over torquing could cause a squeak, but unlikely. Go to a shop and have them lube/ anti seize the LCA bolts. I'm guessing the sound will go away. Toyota puts them in dry. Every 2nd gen owner should do this once a year.

Check by your transmission output shaft. There is supposed to be a shield down there that with enough flexing could allow it to touch parts of the driveshaft or creak when it becomes distorted.

I've never messed with lca bolts, but I assume I can loosen them a bit and re torque them without throwing my front end alignment out? (I just payed to have front end aligned a month or so ago.)

I would not loosen them all the way....you a turn and re torque...make sure you are turning the correct bolt (19mm) front and the rear is a 19mm nut
