As someone who works closely with major manufacturing facilities I'd say you're way off if you believe that.

Relax guys I'm sure he isn't really a racist. I find it funny, and with that being said the employees at the Mexico plant are busting ass. They don't have the machines and robots that they have in Texas and they are cranking out a shit ton of vehicles. Sure you can't say the 3rd gen has problems and some might try to throw the Mexico plant under the bus, but lots of problem trucks coming from San Antonio Texas too.

I'd take a truck from a Toyota Mexican plant any day over a Chrysler/GM one

 

All seriousness...it really is just an ID mark. It allows for quick identification of the correct part and/or wether the part is installed correctly (ie which end goes where) during assembly and inspection.
