WTF Packaging Thread - They Really Shipped it Like This????

To kick things off, I ordered a 16 Gallon replacement tank for my 69 Nova from JEGS and it arrived like this. I kid you not. Surprisingly there doesn't appear to be any damage to the seams; only a few minor scuffs to the filler neck. Nothing to get the panties in a twist about but sure as hell worthy of a "You shipped it like this? WTF?" comment.

Glad there only seems to be cosmetic damage and that you don’t need to deal with sending it back

Request signed delivery inspect the package if it is not to your liking refuse to accept.

A very different scenario when one has a few $ Thousand in parts and the idiots sign for a box with tire prints.

Just what carrier was it shipped with?

Add in fast turnover so many places shipping damage is all to common.

Just be glad it was not worse .

Don't get me going on the haunted sending unit(s).

 

Had a bathroom sink shipped to work & they just shipped the thing in the original box with no padding. Come on man, at least put it into another box with some sort of packing materials! Wtf?

 

I bought a muffler from them once. It showed up raw muffler with a packing label taped on it. Minimal stretch wrap by the hangers. At least yours had a box.
