and they told me they would match front two windows and apply quote "factory 15"! What is this, like a weak 15% or more 15. They said 3o per window. Please help. Also anyone near mobile know of any quality places or what to look for in a tint shop!
    :D

whew...my 20% on my old one was darker than the stock rear stuff....~27% is the factory spec, IIRC. they didnt have a meter to test the stock tint?

Rear privacy glass tests 27 to 28% on a tint meter....to match the fronts, you need to go darker because the windshield will let in more light and backlight the front windows moreso than the rear.

    20% is a good match.

here's 20% on my old truck...you can see that the front is slightly darker. you could tell the difference more in person.

Mine. The front looks slightly darker in this picture because I have my sunshade up in the windshield. On most days it looks like a perfect match. On extremely bright days the front still looks a hair lighter than the rear just because the windshield is glaring it out from behind.

i went with 18 on my two fronts, if you catch it in the right light, you can tell that they are a shade darker than the rest. $30 a window doesnt seem bad, i got mine for $25 each for the front windows.

Hey op seeing that your from Alabama as well, just to let you know cops especially state troopers in Alabama are very very hard on dark tint. (at least where I live.) The maximum legal tint for the front windows is 32% in Alabama. My friends dad just got a ticket from a state trooper last week for having 20% on the front windows. So just a word of advice to help look out for you.:)

That's the reason why I have 10% in the rears and 4% in the fronts.

That is why they won't do it unless you personally know them.
