1) Can-Back Canvas camper top.
This is not a Bestop or Softopper. This is a completely modular aluminium frame with canvas panels that attach to the frame. The main cap is 7 panels, the roof panel, 4 solid black side panels (2 on each side) a front and rear panel with marine grade, clear vinyl windows. The side panels attach with zippers and snaps and come to a clean finish with velcro portions for the front and rear.

I also purchased the optional mesh windows which are several layers of fine mesh allowing airflow while still maintaining being nearly opaque. These were awesome in the summer/warmer months for pets.

All panels can be rolled up and tied down with stitched on buckles or unzipped and fully removed.

It also includes a 3rd brake and blinker light which can be hooked up via a standard 4 pin trailer harness.

Haha, it's a great looking truck either way. Managed to attach yakima load bars and a thule surfboard carrier, and a plano 42" case to the side panels too. There is a lot I'm going to miss about this rack.

 

Especially since it looks like a diesel nozzle.

I read this and immediately started searching the forum for the diesel swap thread. Always read the fine print people!

 

Don't remind me. I bought it from a site called Truck Candy, which has since shut off their phones and not paid their domain fees. I bought it after I had the truck about 1 month and it took 6-7 months for it all to finally show up. I had to call the owner every week for a status update because it was originally stated as 4-6 weeks, and I got every excuse under the sun for the delays.

Can-Back Still for sale

 

Hard to believe this Can-Back hasn’t sold. If it were a Long Bed it would be on my truck. Yeah I get it maybe 3x what you might pay for a used softopper but if you are in the market for softopper and you don’t know what this is you ought to investigate it. Good luck getting a new one although this one is in Excellent condition; yes I have seen it up close and personal. I run a softopper on my DCLB. I would dump mine in a minute for this at $1500 if it weren’t a shorty.
