gtr isn't really a drivers car though, anyone can jump In one and throw down a fast lap time. I think the lotus would be more fun imo.

Nope. Just have some history with my s2000 and HPDE days. Even the early GTRs were too much on the track. Im by far more of a Lotus guy. I've ridden in a GTR and it was just surreal, power and grip for miles. It also felt like it completely lacked personality and that fun factor of the S or of an Elise.

My sentiment exactly. It's a beast on the track. May not be as light but it sure plants onto the pavement with the awd system. As for exhilaration, you will get that more out of an ariel atom in my opinion.

Oh I'd love that Lotus. I don't mean to start a debate, just the problem is all those mods are not really worth anything till you take them off the car. Put back to stock as much as possible and sell off all the mods individually. I've seen this happen all the time. Good luck!

Oh, while the GTR is great and all, see how it's tires and driver hold up doing 5-15 laps at 80% of it abilities. The lotus driver will be more consistent with lap times and much to spare.

I've got the same motor in my commuter car. Fun redlines at 8400 rpm, especially for a $3,000 beater :)

You should reword this. The way you wrote it sounds like this:

Pro = $20K + Lotus (You give them your Lotus and $20k for a Pro)

When I think you really mean:

Lotus = $20K + Pro (They give you $20K and a Pro for your Lotus).

How about a beat up 06 Tacoma with the bulletproof 4 cylinder? Formally used by myself as a garbage/landscaping truck?

I'm clearly doing something wrong because the OP and I have similar military backgrounds and there isn't a Gallardo or Exige in my garage. I need some career guidance please.

I'm 46 with no kids. If you already have kids, sell one... you can get enough for a decent used Gallardo.
