WTT: Radio Bezel

Hey Guys

I just recently purchased an EnTune Premium HU from another TW Member. So I'm in the market for the premium size radio bezel.

I know a few of you guys have replaced your premium HU's with aftermarket. And may not be satisfied with the fit of the aftermarket units. I'm thinking that the EnTune Plus bezel just might make a better fit for this application. Sooooo - If anyone is interested in a trade? Maybe we can help each other out. And both be happier with our systems.

Yes I've seen OE bezels for ~$220. And that rip-off site "Infotainment" wanting $260. I'm not past purchasing new. I just thought that a double trade would help out 2 TW members at the same time.

 

HU will be at the UPS store in about an hour. Good luck finding a bezel.

I have a 2 that have DMMs installed, both are gray and come off of TRD models... we could work something out if you want one thats DMM ready

 

Thank You so much for your reply. I'm not really interested in the DMM as I prefer to keep that area uncluttered. However, I understand that the trim piece is replaceable / transferable? What do you think?

 

Yeah but the piece is going to have holes in it from the DMM...

 

Here is what I'm thinking (and I totally understand if you don't want to do this because it really has no benefit to you). You remove the trim piece (with the DMM) from your Bezel. I remove the trim piece from my Bezel. And simply swap bezels.

PS:Not sure if this really works this way though?

 

I guess im not understanding what you want then... are you looking for just the colored piece that goes around or the black part that hugs the radio and has the vents?? I dont think you can separate just the bezel around the radio... I may be mistaken

 

I may not be all there either. I read that the chrome / silver piece can be separated from the bezel. Not really sure how that works because I haven't even looked at mine yet. But I have seen replacement trims listed on OE parts retailers. And I read posts on TW about people removing the trim to paint / plastic dip.

Anyway, the DMM is secured to the chrome / silver trim piece? So, theoretically, we should be able to swap bezels "only" and each one keep their trim piece.

This would be more trouble for you since you really don't have a need for the smaller bezel unless you just want to have one made-up and ready to sell. Only extra trouble for me would be removing the chrome trim before shipping.

Only because the DMM actually screws in to the rest of the trim, not that colored bezel... so the part you need is the one with the holes...

 

OK, maybe that is where this goes south. I'm not familiar with how the DMM attaches to the trim / bezel. I was thinking it only attaches to the outer ring (the part that is replaceable).

 

@FreshMexicanTaco Thank You for you offer kind Sir. I've never really been interested in the DDM. And this has only fueled my confusion about our discussion. I do apologize. I would prefer a standard OE bezel.

I should have asked you before i bought my new bezel, does this offer still stand if I cancel my order for the new bezel? I also have a bezel from a SR5 and need the bigger cutout style. and I was planning on buying your DMM anyways.

 

I didn't know that the DMM mounted to the inside part of the bezel. Like FreshMex was trying to tell me, removing the DMM would leave holes in the bezel.

I also had to purchase a new bezel. PN# 55405-04130-C5. I've decided not to sell (or get rid of) any of my old gear for now.
