i made a purchase of some medium tinted taillights which look great by the way but i did so without doing my research as to if they are legal in WV.
One of the guys at my work says not but the company i bought them from says yes. Im torn as to who to believe as i dont want any tickets and plus one i install them i can't send them back.

Is anyone familiar with the wv law on this?

    thanks:confused:

i heard or read somewhere(i forgot) that as long as you can see your reflectors in the tailights you shouldnt get a ticket and if so you can fight it, but not completely clear on this, im just sayin haha

    New truck....so nothing yet
I tinted the hell out of mine with Nite Viz. Til they look very dark but the lights shine through. So far ZERO issues during inspection or with troopers right behind me.

I see them all the time, I know that doesn't mean it is legal, but obviously police and inspections could care less. Just passed one blacked out this morning on an f150. Ugly look on that truck in my opinion.

Im in fayetteville. The cops are pretty stick around here Oak Hill, and Summersville so I was just trying to cover my bases. Last thing i need is a ticket.

    Thanks for the info.

Don't drink and Drive... It would suck to get a DUI due to your tinted tails. They are illegal. I had light tint overlays on my first Infiniti G35. Got hassled a couple times, so when I got my 2nd G35 I never messed with the taillights. Keep in mind my Tails were OEM LED lights, and bright as hell.... even tinted they were bright...

Keep them on. If they stop you, just tell them you still have the originals and it would be no problem for you to put them back on. Be nice, dont get pissed. They'll let you off with a warning and then change them out.

The ones i bought are factory lights with a medium tint but you can see the lights really good.
Yesterday was pretty interesting to say the least as i was driving thru oak hill and a cop got in behind me and followed me for 2 miles and I just knew he was going to pull me over but he didn't then i got to beckley and had another town cop behind me and he didn't pull me over and then yet again on my way home from work last night i had a cop pull behind me at a stop light in fayetteville. So knock on wood it looks like there going to let me be for now anyway.
