ha, ok i got it. that looks more like a crawlers area there. the only issue i see is how does a semi make it up there? some of our vendors bring a huge 18 wheel rig full of equipment. there is so much to map in wyoming. as of now most of our stuff is high speed as we are a desert crew, but if we can find that where we are looking, its definitely going to be added in our trail maps for the guys and girls who want to rock crawl

har har Monte, I'll get to it one of these days. It's started to piss me off that i dont have albums done.

I'll definitely be up for joining you for a bit @nosbusa I've been on most all of the roads in the gas hills and surrounding areas which is at the end of wy highway 136 (gas hills road). I used to work out there. There is a lot of dirt road here as you said. @BossFoss and i did a small run from southpass through the oregon buttes area and circled around the kilpecker sand dunes last fall. Lots more out that way to explore too. I have a few gps tracks you'd be welcome to have if you'd like them.

@BossFoss we can run my truck with the dual carrier and trade off riding and driving :D

Also @BabyTaco @justinf307 and brett my bumper came thru fastenal in riverton with no issues.

Also, these events are awesome and all @nosbusa but please bring staythetrail people with you. We have lots of great trail and roads here that we would like to remain the way they are. It sounds like you've got a great group of people but i just had to say it.

one of the reasons we were granted a 5 year blm permit is because we showed blm we are responsible and make sure everyone in our group adheres to our rules and the rules of offroading. we understand our offroad trails get smaller and smaller each year and we do what we can to preserve it by having everyone attend our mandatory drivers meeting everyday of the event before going out for the day

Eh. There is a great map of that area. Even a large pull out an 18 wheeler could fit. But not all of it is crawler stuff.

Marc has a photo of the map but I'll let him dig it out haha

We just got hammered so I am guessing the mountains are sitting pretty well. I was up there last week for school and plenty of snow pack was left. I was often up to my hips and hadn't hit dirt yet.

When are you headed up? I'm originally from Lusk, and will be there this weekend. What will you be photographing?

Well, I was hoping to get there next weekend the soonest but I forgot the gal and I have a cooking class in foco on saturday. Ill be planning the weekend of the 8th then. Ill be finding the homestead of James Edwards, the most successful black homesteader in wyoming, and photographing his house. Pretty bad ass place for the time. Master bedroom, two upstairs guest rooms, garage, indoor plumbing, hot showers both down and upstairs. Most people at that time were walking buckets of water up from the river to heat on a stove.

Nice, that will be interesting, sounds like it was a pretty "hi-tech" place for the time. I've heard the name, but I'm not sure where the actual house is located. For such a boring part of the state there's actually some pretty cool history. We have a couple homesteads still standing from when our family originally moved to the area.
If you get a chance you'll have to go check out The Pizza Place in Lusk, pretty famous for a small town.

I am a man that loves pizza. I will make time for it haha. I was surprised at a lot of the history I learned about this semester. Wyoming did a good job of hiding some important figures.

I think it just pulls away. Mine did a little when I wanted to run the mic for the head unit up to the rear view mirror. Be careful tho. I think its glued.

Is this to run the ham antenna wire? Where are you going to locate the antenna? Near the 3rd brake light?
