Planning a road trip from oklahoma to yellowstone at the end of may in my shiny new 2016. Any good resources or tips on trails along the way or nearby to go wheeling?

Lots of things along the way from lander to Jackson hole. I guess it depends on how much off-roading you want to do.

My guess is you are coming through Cheyenne. You can go through CO and visit some of the places down there. Most areas will still have a lot of snow in Wyoming in May.

Edit: Nvm, end of may, you should be good . If you come through Laramie we can go through the snowies.

End of May most stuff up around in the shoshone will have snow I bet. But could check out sunlight basin or the goose lake area.

This is true. Especially if we keep getting these spring snows.

Given that its a '16, I doubt he wants anything rough. I could be be wrong though. Are you looking for just fun forest service roads? Or something challenging?

Good tip on the snow. I forget you guys have snow on the ground so late. Guess I'll start thinking of stuff down towards co. More interested in mountain roads and dirt trails that will at least take me somewhat in the right direction, even if it does add a few hours. Not really looking for off road park type places that will completely halt progress.

You could come up through co to Laramie, through snowies, up to seminoe, then over to lander, and up to Yellowstone.

Do you fish? Be a great time to plan a trip through the big rivers here and catch some nice fish

I know you pick em up low and sell em higher. Isn't there a limit on how many vehicles you can buy and sell without a dealers license?

Cash and titles are rarely in my name. I just roll them to the new owner and i always fill out the bos that way as well. much easier if i decide to sell later instead of keeping it.

If it's open, the road from pinedale to Dubois would be a good off road trip that's a detour. Union pass I think it is

CO wont be much different. Spring doesn't start in the mountains till June. Summer is August july or so.

Sun light basin will be a great road off the chief joseph and so will the main road for Lulu pass. Be nice to get off the highway and SE some gorgeous country. But you could hit snow.

Hit me up when your closer to the day. I live right there. Can stop in powell and say hi and get dinner and such.
