An interesting thought but not sure that is possible.

It is possible something happened internal to the rack tho or maybe a bent tie rod end. At first I thought it had slipped a tooth on the steering shaft splines. Again, not sure this is possible. I've never heard of either of these things happening to others but many 1st genners have taken to spot welding the splines I am referring to. I have not done this mod.

 

I know the rack can slip teeth. Was something on that on ttora.

A bent tie rod would be visually obvious and the truck would be almost Undrivable as one side would be bent

 

I would also think the tires would be skewerd looking, like the toe was way out or something on the side that's bent. Not sayin the toe isn't the trouble, but looking at the tires, they seem to be pointing correctly.

 

Firestone lifetime alignments FTW. I have definitely gotten my monies worth from them.

Didn't like the new top gear. Felt forced. Chris Evans is not great. Matt Leblanc was actually not bad. Everyone was not good though.

IMO, it was bound to fail anyway. There is no way it could ever measure up. The bar is set too high.

It was terrible. I turned it off halfway through. I hate to say it but I'd rather watch American top gear any day and that used not to be my opinion. Times have changed.

 

Haven't seen american top gear in years. It was awful

 

Agreed, the first season was rough. But when the British top gear fell apart, the US version really stepped up their game. Nothing beats Clarkson, Hammond and May

 

Well it only fell apart last spring..couldn't have gotten that good since then haha

Believe it or not, they've made leaps and bounds. And I absolutely hated Adam Ferrara back when he was doing stand up comedy. They copied the UK top gear too closely and had no chemistry, but now on their 4th or so season and they've made a good impression on me after boycothing the show for the last season or two. It still needs work, but massive improvement from the first season imho.

I'm definately interested to see the Amazon prime show with the old top gear gang

 

I thought that was the show you were talking about. That's the one I want to see.

 

Oh ha yea no, bbc kept top gear alive with all new format and cast. Wouldn't bother with it though.

Nice Ben! I've been toying with drawing something up myself. Although solidworks would probably be better than Acad which is what i have access to. Or i may just back of a napkin it haha. What are you thinking for axle setup? I've browsed jberry and boxrockets builds quite a bit. Its fun thinking about all the cool stuff you could build once you get decent with a welder.

 

Power is on a logarithmic scale here. You'd need 500w or more for 10x the range using power alone.

That said. 5-15w is plenty with a great antenna tune.

The leafs off your truck are way too long for a trailer.

Haha...yea...idk..good luck. That's a big and expensive project. I don't see your fab skills quiet being there but you'd get good fast. I hope.
