I'd like to complete my rear diff breather mod (on second thought, I guess I did have a mod):). I have to swing by Lowes after work to pick up some tubing / clamps and I won't forget the dremel.

    Maybe..

I'm trying to decide if I really want 5.29s. Plus the rear has a Detroit in it..and I don't like that..

    you've got plenty of time.

scotty at addicted wanted me to go with 5.29 but i doubt i'll ever go 35's on this truck. if i want to get that crazy i'll just build an older weekend warrior anyways. he also is pushing the TG gears and i'm not that keen on going with TG gears. even though they are most likely made in the same factory i think they are a different type of steel which kinda concerns me.

Yea well addicted offroad is a TG dealer so no surprise there haha

I already have a Yukon 4.88 rear R&P. Ill just have to learn to setup gears myself. Shouldn't be too big an issue I guess.

Might have a beed on a front diff too..but idk.

Ill probably stick with Yukon or nitro gears.

go figure! TG dealer pushing TG haha.

i'd love to go with Nitro but TG is half the price. even low range gears are half of what Nitro is.

hearing about Bob breaking 2 sets of yukon gears has me staying away from them. well, i know he broke one, pretty sure he did it before too though

    comparing steel types right now

    Cody had low range gears.

All the prices seem so close to the same to me other then yuk ons are pricey. I got my rear R&P for 150 off here tho so can't beat that.

searched with no luck. nitro nor yukon say what the steel grades are. TG is the only one
