I guess I could put quick connects on my current one and just swap it over. Be easy enough. And I remebered I have that BAMF tail gat mount. Will work for now.

 

That's the one I use on my tailgate (awful place to mount an antenna if anyone was wondering) great mount though, very versatile and hasn't corroded so it must be decent stainless

 

Yea tail gate isn't great. But I have the mount already. May was well

 

As long as it's grounded decent you'll probably have little to no issue. Just an awkward place that demands a high antenna to reach over the cab for better transmission propagation.

 

Yea thanks to my dads latest obsession I have plenty of grounding cable at my disposal

Hmm...idk. alumi doesn't conduct electricity so must be copper.

He does everything to the frame. And the exhaust too. That's supposed to help everything a lot.

When it oxidizes (happens faster than most think), that oxide layer is a super shitty conductor, but aluminum itself is pretty decent. Would be a bummer to weld if it conducted too poorly.

I do like it, but it rubs my hood pretty bad when it's in place, I need to either shift the hood or clearance it some other way. Haven't had time to adjust it, but I don't like my tailgate location so it'll be soon I think.

 

We went up the canyon from the chicken corners end. Still not that challenging.

So i put my derby car through our local home town parade, i used it to ram my cousins non running car. I would back up and make a hit on it about twice per block. Last two bloks of parade i blew a tranny line and showered myself in hot trans fluid. Bunch of random people pushed us the last two blocks. Gotta love small towns.

 

In your defense..you had never wheeled anything sorta challenging without your locker. That's been your crutch for so long that you had to relearn picking different lines. Because open is a different game.

 

Well i was going to do the T100 MC mod to test it out with the tundra brake mod. But Igor has ABS This means that id be replacing a Tacoma MC 1'' bore with a T100 MC 1'' bore...so no worth it. Can't find an ABS 1-1/6'' Bore MC.

Wonder how hard it is to remove the ABS..

 

Hmm..should be easy actually..Just need the new MC. Then get a manual rear BPV.
