I've wanted to say something about that. Now is as good a time as any.

You are selling something that appreciates in value and has the potential to provide income and are keeping and paying for something that is depreciating in value and you not using it.

 

Supra isn't going to move me across the country or tow a trailer.

And isn't as reliable.

If I ever lose my Taco my bank account might recover, can't have that... may have to buy another beater. Keep trying to get an FZJ80 but have ended up being flaked out on multiple times now by Craigslisters.

For your sake, I certainly hope that this ends up being the case. I am skeptical tho. Even if the difference between what is owed and what the sale price ends at is as much as you say, that will not be what you pocket.

As for the BRZ, that is a debt that is not doing you any favors. I am hopeful that this recent experience has opened you eyes a bit to debt. With a mortgage you almost have no choice. But everywhere else you do. Being in debt up to your eyeballs is not smart. Not having savings of what it costs you to live for a year without a job is not smart.

IMO, things are only going to get rougher in the foreseeable future. Maybe much rougher. Time to learn to live lean.

 

In short..you should have invested in a car...that nsx is looking better and better..

On that topic i can't say much.

I paid off all my debt, so short of my credit card every month if I buy stuff I have no debt.

Im almost more stressed now then before. I think I never have enough saved up, especially when still trying to decide on a new vehicle, or if to ever buy one.

Im not sure what exactly your current financial status is, but your probably handling it well. Especially for someone our age. Maybe cut down on the used car lot you got going if you are worried about cash lol. But all in all if you still feel secure I see no reason to stress to much.

Hell could sell the brz and use that money for new place while renting the old one. Once they are both paid off its free money for more cars.
