Hey mike @Digiratus have you looked at 285/75r17s? 34" tire. I've read with enough hammering it'll clear without tubbing.

 

Yeah, its a small 34. I considered it for a while but unfortunately, tire choices in that size are limited. No STT Pro available in that size.

Not necessarily. On the other hand, looking for something aggressive besides KM2s. Maybe KM3s will be worth trying.

305s? Is there one less than 11" wide? I doubt it tho. They are mostly really wide fuckers.

Cooper does make the STT Pro in 285/70r17 (33x11.5) a little fat for my likes, and 285/75r16 (33x11.2). I think I would go with the 16s. More sidewall for airing down.

 

If you're straying 33 Id run 255s like what I have.

 

I've considered the ST Maxx like you have. Was impressed with how they performed. Unfortunately, the 255/85r16 is not offered by Cooper for the STT Pro.

Of course, all of these sizes are available as KM2s.

 

The st maxx comes in 255/85r16, 255/80r17, 285/75r17

I was pretty happy with them. No MTR but overall pretty nice. Good in snow too

Have you priced these. Cheapest I've seen is ~300$ each. Ouch! The 255/85r16 ST Maxx is definitely on the list tho.

17's are pricey but I would do it depending on the tire.

Anyone have opinions/preferences on brand of ujoints for first gen rigs?

I don't remember what I ised last time but been fine. I know ive read that aftermarket ones don't fit exactly right and never last but again, still going on mine.

 

The 34x10.50 are ridiculously undersized, even more so than a usual BFG. I was reading reports of them being smaller than a 255/85/16.
