Anyone have opinions/preferences on brand of ujoints for first gen rigs?

Just caught up on 70 pages of posts makes me feel better that everybody's life is crazy as mine.

 

I don't remember what I ised last time but been fine. I know ive read that aftermarket ones don't fit exactly right and never last but again, still going on mine.

 

The 34x10.50 are ridiculously undersized, even more so than a usual BFG. I was reading reports of them being smaller than a 255/85/16.

Started building a bench yesterday. And then ran out of wire. I'm just glad i had 100' of extension cord to run welder in new shop. We still haven't got electricity in there yet. We did however start insulating.

 

You going to spray the roof? Those rolls look like they would be hard to unroll underneath your purlins

 

Not planning on it. Roof tin has felt on bottom side to prevent condensation drips when heating.
Those rolls are 40' long. we take the forklift to the top, nail the end and drop the roll.

 

I mean spray insulation for the underside of your roof instead of the rolls your using on the walls,

 

Not planning on it. No roof insulation. We have talked about putting a floor down in rafters to store stuff and then might insulate that floor but we have skylights that let in massive amount of light so we dont want to block them off. We are going to be running a waste oil heater and plan to just cut the edge off the cold not bring it to 80. shooting for around 55ish.

**Will also be adding ceiling fans to circulate heat.

I don't see the problem. I'm actually quite happy with the size of my 32.5" 33x10.50s.

 

I'm just saying I wouldn't get them thinking they're any bigger than any other "33". For the same height I would go with 255s and have more sidewall.

 

Of all the tires on that list, a KM3 in 34x10.5 would be the most intriguing. The least interesting one is the KO2 in the same size. I hear what you are saying about sidewall size and assume you are referring to 255/85r16, not 255/80r17. Almost all 17s compromize the sidewall.

That was all driver error on my part. And blind luck on yours.

We can't blame the sidewalls for what we've all done to them.

But i am happy with my choice of current side walls on both rigs all things considered.
