We got stuck in Limon, co with car troubles. Nasty metal on metal sound. Pretty sure it's the brakes. We luckily were able to get it in a shop right away.

    You and car trouble...lol

Nice! Bet that's a fun drive! But not quite me dream swap. 1jz in it. Rather a 2jz

On a cool note for that. I just learn that mega squirt makes a PNP ecu Kit for my truck. They even have a base map.

Now I want to turbo more then ever. Be so bad ass.

I picked up those turbo manifolds from Anothernord, but i really just wanted to check out the kz swap in person and talk to him. So when you decide to go that route I'll make you a deal on them :stirthepot:

Seriously. Non stop issues for a year straight. Turned out to be the wheel bearing. $500 later and we are on the road. We replaced the other one just a few months ago.

Wait that was you?! You fucker. Your just baiting me now...lol

I'm pretty tempted too with this mega squirt. Be pretty cool. Granted. Funds probably won't allow for a bit.

Did you just get the headers or any of his other stuff?

Bet seeing that swap was cool.

Damn!! Shitty nway car this time?

    The gf's Nissan Xterra.

I was just informed I'll have a start date for Jan 17th with the fish biologist position. Have never seen a position get listed and filled that fast. I'll be giving them a call tomorrow but man, I have a big decision to make.

I only have 3 upper division needed to graduate so I have a few options.

1.) Assume I will be offered a job that will allow me to finish the spring semester.
2.) take this job, postpone my gibill and pay for a single online class to fulfill my requirements. This would assume I had time to finish the course
3.) Not graduate, take the job and then decide if I will stay there longer than the 13 month term (can be a 4 year position). If not, I'll come back to Laramie for a semester. If I stay then NAU is there and I can finish my degree there.

That being said, just got drilled with a few more emails about interviews for other positions. I haven't been offered the fish biologist position, but it has been made clear that I am in the top picks. I will know more tonight.

Hmm..well. Id personally make sure I graduated by the end of spring no matter what. You'll regret it if you don't and going back will SUUUUCCCCKKKK for one class.

Pay off better in the long run.

I don't think it will suck going back. If the position is funded for atleast 3 years I will probably take it. Sometimes you just have to take opportunities when they present themselves.

So random, and probably biased question, but any one have opinions on a new tacoma vs a new subaru outback?

I know totally different platforms, but figured i would get some good opinions here.

the gf needs a new car. Her little corolla just doesn't break the snow to get to work, and im over driving her there at 5am when I could be sleeping lol.

Were thinking of getting a new/lightly used outback. But the other day she said she would like a Tacoma too.

The price is actually pretty similar depending on trim, obviously outback better mileage (car), tacoma would be useful as a truck and what not but I'll probably be buying a new truck anyways.

Only real advantage I see to it is we get a new tacoma to play with, and instead of buying a new truck I could get myself a sport DD for nicer weather.

    Thoughts?

Screw both options. If you're getting a dd tacoma find a 1st gen. Cheap now and fun to drive. Okay milage. 4wd.

Unless she needs something for long highway trips.
