Awesome that's good to hear, its between them and king at this point. Kings are tried and true, and its nice that Marc has his pretty dialed and could help if adjustments were needed. Seems to be a lot of really good reviews on ADS though, and the price difference isn't much.

 

They are great. I think they have an edge over kings in terms of wear and tear personally. But can't go wrong either way.

I know Id go ads though from my experiences. Love them.

Is the first gen spring column joint the same as the second gen rubber rag joint? @Blackdawg

Interesting. I hate the clunk and feel of my column!

 

Have you looked at the zip tie mod St on here. Took care of all the bump and annoying sound when on bumpy roads

 

I did that back when I had 20k on the truck. Now at 73k it's back and is not fixable with zip ties anymore...

 

Not sure if this mod is do able on a 2nd gen..one way to find out! Haha

 

Can u fit two in there? Or a thicker one? I saw there was someone who welded there's like what monte is talking about. He reported no more clunk but way more road vibration and what not

 

That's what I'm worried about. Too much feed back.

 

I'll look tomorrow but I have already tried to jam more in there. Anything is better than the clunky POS it is now

 

I agree it's a huge pain that hasn't been fixed over 10yrs of that truck. Wonder if third gen has it? I guess even longer if first gens have it to

I picked up two cheap headlamps for utah trip. They we here not. Not overly bright but handy for doing stuff in your immediate vicinity. Really like them.

Wish I could start planning stuff, but idk how summer is...again..so yea.

 

Ugh..had door handle done. Put the door panel back on. Forgot to plug in the tweeter...

See if I can get it off again clip damage free

 

Buy a panel puller, I haven't broken a door clip since I got it.

 

Yea what I have. Was successful!

Except I broke the retainer clip on the interior door handle ha. Think the parts store sells those though.

Was a good weekend. Just need to bleed the brakes tomorrow.

 

You guys sure are hard on your door handles

 

Ben just replaces his with cheap ones all the time. I'm doing mine once hopefully.
