OT baby!

Haven't done multiple 12s in a while. Can't get to you that's for sure. Unless it's all the time then it's normal.

Salary here too.

The views are well worth it. And the few weeks you spend in the mountains. Great days. What a fun job.

 

Winters are when I wish I was salary. But summers make me thankful I'm hourly. It about evens out as long as I don't have too many 50+ hour weeks. That seems to be the uncle sam bend over point.

 

I am hourly, punch a clock and all that but I might as well be salaried. No overtime ever. On the plus side, I get a lot of leeway as long as I get done what has to be done.

 

When I was doing 80 hour weeks on the slope I did notice I got hit hard. But got most of it back though in April.

Can't go wrong with mountain views anywhere really. I really like the sunsets of the Absorkees and Beartooths with heart mountain in the foreground.

The big horns here though are nice. So far the mornings have been best. Love the big horns.

 

No OT? Is that legal being hourly?

 

I should clarify.

I am never asked to do over time. If I ever have to because something must be done, I stay and do it, not because I'm asked to, but because its the right thing to do. It is then understood that the extra hour (or 2) I stayed or came in early, is used as comp time. I don't take it as pay, but I take it as time off with pay.

Its a nice, mature arrangement.

You're a better man than I sir. When I'm working for school or Home Depot I stay extra time and pickup hours even if they don't ask me to. Helps that both places I work at are understaffed though, so they find things for me to do. But at least it is at my own convenience.

 

No worries. I will have plenty of vacation time accumulated. The challenge will be getting him to allow me to use it all at once. Last year he balked at 4 weeks at once even tho I had the vac time accumulated.

 

Yea I know. But 3 sounds better then 4 haha

 

Ha! Are you ready to commit to a start date right now? I'll start werkin' him now if so.

 

I wish. Maybe in a few weeks. I'll need to figure out what my summer will be like at all by then.

 

I only need three weeks notice if it is happening sometime between July and September.... just sayin

 

Did you pick up an enhanced DL when you renewed? If we go to CA, you'll need it. Or a passport.

 

I have to get a passport any way, so I'll be doing that before spring. Canada three years in a row tho?

 

Come over to the wild side. 100% commission. Well actually a weekly draw against commission then monthly settle up/overage check.

 

If you go to Alaska you drive through Canada...lol

 

Lots of people ship their vehicle to Alaska and fly over themselves.

 

That's no fun. If I'm shipping a vehicle it's to South America haha
