The housings will be black, just the shroud on the projector i think will be chrome.

Ordered a headgasket kit from yotashop for $400 shipped pretty much. Looks like it uses OEM parts. I also watched this 6 part (30 min each) you tube video of the headgasket fix. Guy does a good job of documenting each step. Kinda of excited to tear it apart and learn about it

It almost looks like it would be easier to pull the engine and dismantle it on a stand.

 

its way easier to fix a HG issue if you can pull the motor. But pulling the motor always has its PITA problems. Wiring, the tranny, the radiator..ect.

I like it too much as an unmolested DD. Almost hate driving my 04 anymore, feels too rough.

 

Yea i can understand that. When i drive my moms pretty much stock 95 i think..man..why did i change anything? haha

 

But what happened to the single cab truck? I loved that thing! I'd rock a single cab DD taco

 

It's still here. I've been driving it a little just to keep the battery charged etc. it's technically my cousins at this point since he paid me for it before returning to Florida. At some point we will build it up slightly for him to enjoy mild off-roading
