took it for a drive, tundra calipers clunking inside.

fun way to burn a couple hours this evening.

I mean I went slow but after you take a few second gen headlights apart you would understand. Then to see one fog up 5 months later and do it again. The top he cutoff settings were a pita. Any recommendations on single row light bars?

And i took my dads apart. 2nd gen lights are a bitch as they are full sealed. Read an ingenious idea to add a small silicone packet behind the shroud. Pretty smart. Did you add more glue from TRS? The cut offs should be set..you just re aim the headlight which is just stock screw adjustments..

 

there was a clunk noise coming from both sides when i applied the brakes.

 

lol I've done a full set trust me I know. Ya I re sealed with the trs butyl. First time when I painted and let them sit for 7 days when I backed them together the paint off gas hazed my lens. So I got a new set of cheapie and swapped the lens. I did the packet in the back also. When u put them through make sure u test them on the truck then jb weld the fuck out of the nut behind or else they will move some. Idk I'm just not that blown away with them. Stock and a bhlm would of been fine

 

But not when you weren't? That..is odd. Only the wheels changed? Fine without the SCS wheels..

Hey man, a couple of questions about that ferry ride.

Looks like you stopped over in Juneau. How long was the layover? Did you have to switch ferries there?

I read that it is possible to put up a tent in a designated area on the boat instead of paying for a stateroom. I am curious if you had access to your truck down in the vehicle hold during the cruise? If we did it, we have RTTs. Would we be allowed to use them? Is there enough ceiling room in the hold to open them up?

Your trip looks amazing. I would love to visit places like McCarthy. Truly the end of the road.

wtf. that is...odd man. Did you try the wheels without spacers? or with the spidertraxx ones? Taco is fine?

 

- We could have continued to Haines on the same ship, but we decided to spend a day exploring Juneau since we were already there. We camped there one night and caught another ferry the next morning. It was cool and worth the time.

- You can access the car deck a couple times a day, but no access except during designated times so the RTT is not an option. People put ground tents on the back deck, bring lots of duct tape to secure it down though because it can get windy. Lots of other people just roll out their sleeping bag in the lounges, solarium, movie room, etc. It is common and acceptable not a "dirt bag" thing at all. You have to pack your stuff up by a set time so the room can be used for its normal purpose and you can't set up again until a designated time at night. There are lockers and public showers for people traveling this way. People stake their territory pretty early on and occupy it until it is time to get off.

We coughed up for a stateroom to give our 4 year old son a place to relax and maintain his sleep schedule. It was pricey, but worth it for us to maintain sanity.

McCarthy was awesome, the camping picture I posted earlier with the tent and awning out was taken near there. We would go back there again in a second.

Are you sure it was the front? There's not a ton of room between the rear shock mount (upper) and the tire. That's the only reason I was running spacers.

 

well i'm not putting them back on.

i really didnt like the tundra rims on the taco
