I think he just couldn't pass it up. Not every day an r33 comes up for sale for dirt cheap. Just gonna have it for a hooning car.

well, they will be popular 2nd hand or 3rd hand cars i bet. Long as the aftermarket support is there.

yep, everything is computers though. You have to be a network engineer and computer engineer to function in my world these days.

But it's still a cool concept and is the next step in terms of "hotrodding" cars. because they are just computers now. Think of all the things you could bypass or unlock to get more power, tweak the electronic dampening systems in cars to how you wanted them to ride, custom gauges, throttle response, all that stuff.

And as soon as you unplug it..back to stock.

    Pretty cool idea.

you probably could have fixed that shit with this box. The diagnostics from it is huge too.

Man, for an engineer...you're boring. No desire to tweak and fiddle..

accessport isn't going to do much to most cars.

and the only real option IMO for our trucks is the DIY Megasquirt 3. But thats only an option for 95-97 tacos. Piggy backs had major limitations.

If you can actually unlock your whole ECU that is awesome. so much potential.

coding isn't that hard. Just tedious.

I realize that. And im not talking about rewriting the whole code. Small tweaks.

Computers and just another thing to tweak.

idk, ask them. I don't own one.

this isn't something most people will touch, because like you, they are scared to.

So was driving home from north of denver tonight and on a side turn out of the road was a tacoma parked with a for sale sign. I flipped around to check it out. 04, v6 manual, sr5 extended cab. 108k but no price. Whats it worth? PRetty clean except looks like the very rear of the bed had either a dent or just some paint scrapped off.

Lol I was gonna guess about 12k. Might call tomorrow to see, would love one again but don't see it happening.

The tdi I am still thinking of buying he is gonna send me some more pics. The auto is killing the deal for me though. I want one manual so bad lol. Would love a golf 2 seater tdi manual.

I looked at the jetta/passat wagon TDI's for a DD in St louis for a while. would still take one with a manual. Nice cars and great mileage.

    Auto would be okay..but idk.

The other downside is german..so expensive to maintain and all.

12k would be about right probably, but again, you're in CO so be prepared, probably more expensive.
