Wyoming B.S. Thread

Just checking in, saying hi to everyone. I don't have much to clear tribute in the way of car talk. Monte you're in Sheridan now right? Tons of people talk about going to lander to climb and hike and what not in the off season but you're not there now.


I want to stay in Jackson for the summer, but at the same time I really want to go back and sail in the keys again. Decision making sucks

 

I wouldn't leave Wyoming in the summer/fall if I had the choice. Plan your trips in the winter!

 

IMO summers in Jackson are the real draw. Granted you get even more tourons, but oh well. If you have the possibility of sailing the Keyes in the winter and spending your summers in Jackson, well, sign me up.

 

I'm almost the opposite, I came for the best single resort in the lower 48, and found out the summers are fun. The winter is usually my favorite season.

 

Yea lander is a huge climbing mecha. The wind rivers have some of the best backpacking out there i think. Look up the Cirque of Towers..

So what, you're working the resort? or do you have an accounting job?

At the moment I'm working for snow king in the ski school, so I get free JHMR passes, and I just picked up a basic PT accounting job, in the hopes it opens doors for better jobs

 

so why would you throw that a way to go to florida only to have to start over again in the winter?

 

Because living on a schooner in the keys is probably one of the most beautiful experiences of my entire life

 

Ya that's why it's hard....it's not a job of a life time. Not at all. I could easily come back next winter, in the beginning not the middle, and do it again. Just don't know if I want to

At age 22 Never Summer was a way of life, not just a brand. Then I lived through 15 winters in the 'hole. Skiing/snowboarding doesn't become any less fun, your life circumstances just change. If your window of opportunity on the Keyes job is limited, probably do that. There is no such thing as a career position in Jackson, to be able to live there you have make at least several million a year somewhere else.

nah miles aren't that bad on that. Id buy it. Looks clean. Versatile and fun.

Oh hell no lol. Whole thing is gutted. A little beyond my mechanical know-how.

And yeah, Mallorys new ride haha. They picked that up in Denver while we were down there picking up the r33.

Still, R33 is gonna be sweet.....if he can get it back together. That's always hard to finish a project like that.

Motor and tranny is there. Missing some interior pieces but considering it's caged I don't think he's too worried about it. Should be a fun project when the ball gets rolling.

 

lots of odds and ends left though im sure even if it'll just be a "track" kind of car.

Figured that since it was caged he wasn't planning on driving it all the time lol
