I almost bought the estwing at the place i was at in Rock Springs..was an outdoor store so if your have an REI maybe or similar. I'd go there.

Yeah, I think that needs to be the next step. See what these look and feel like in my hands.

 

The BRZ is not a true subie. Since it has Toyota running in its veins, it does not compare well to other subies.

I'm pretty sure that toyota had some input on that as well.

 

My buddy from the army bought a bug eye subie and is constantly working on it or doing something cool on Facebook. He's had it for years and I always liked it. Be a fun car to drive around and just keep. I am guessing value will rise for them as well given the following subies have.

I'll pass for cash though and I doubt that will be a problem. Had two more people show interest and want to see it.

I dropped it at @Member1Zillion shop last night and he's going to give me a professional opinion on the issue. It drove fine last night to his place so he may be right about it not being the fuel pump.

I know a few new members are coming to Laramie. Don't hesistate to contact Will if you need some work done or help diagnosing an issue. He's been a huge help to the gal and I over the past year. Certainly knows his way around Toyotas well. If BabyTs engine craps out again I'll probably find a way to get it to him.

 

I don't. that was the deal. It's a boxter engine. Subie does the power train, toyota does the chassis.

But idk. Maybe. Still a Boxter though...

 

Just cruisin the southwest for spring break. Main destination was the Grand Canyon and here to visit a friend. But we have been cruisin all over trying to find the road less traveled.

 

I am considering investing in a Partner Steel Stove. This one.

I am wondering if anyone has ever seen or even used one of these. They are expensive.

Aren't they alcohol stoves? that one looks like one..

 

Nothing broke yet but I feel my suspension is highly inadequate for the size of tire I have lol.



This is the neatest spot so far. Just outside the north rim park on BLM. Can pretty much camp on the rim.

 

Never used one but I have heard great things about them. Did you see the group buy?

I have deals on campchef and firedisc. Not sure if you looked into them but they look great for truck camping.

There are quite a few models. The one I linked to is about the same size as the one I have now. A 2 burner.

I have a campchef from REI now. Its OK but is limited to the small fuel bottles without an adapter. But more important, the valves offers almost no control of the heat, its basically on high all the time until its off.

It is interesting they offer a model that looks almost identical to the one I posted. Makes me wonder if it is made for them by Partner Steel.

 

Sweet! Couple of Cali/AZ folks did a sweet Grand Canyon trip and they camped on several spots right on the rim. Would have sent you the link had i known you were going there!

I tried asking around for stuff like that and kept getting blank looks and one lady answered me in disgust "sir, this is a nature preserve not a 4 wheeling place!" Lol crazy. Been fun though
