Cutting wasn't terrible. Not the easiest thing ever but not horrible lol. Haven't driven it very far but we'll see here shortly haha.

Ended up doing one big plate over the large opening then did a small plate over the pinch weld area.

Got the tires mounted on the wheels and pulled the fenders and got it prepped for cutting Wednesday.

    Started cutting Thursday after work

Didn't do much other than cut the filler plates out Friday night.

Got it all welded and seam sealed today. Just have to put the interior back together and get it sorted out. Probably gonna clean it out and maybe mask and undercoat the panels from the inside tomorrow. I do rub the frame rails a little bit at full lock so might have to get some spacers..or just be cautious when turning sharp.

just get spacers now. I rubbed on the frame with 33s and those wheels. 35s will be terrible. Hopefully that doesn't totally fuck up your tub job since you did it with no spacers...will put the tires more into the channel area..

But you won't be able to turn for shit without spacers haha you need to be at 3'' BS at least.

But sweet! I had a busy ass week so wouldn't have been much help. Worked every night since wed haha

    Looks good though!!

    prepare to be surprised...lol

    your poor poor tranny.. haha

Gonna have to get gears asap man!

I found a parts truck too..well..maybe. idk if you saw my post. Gonna go look at it tomorrow but if i don't take it i'll let you have it for a 5spd swap.

Ty said he has some 1/4" spacers so I might pull the C/O's and throw them on and cycle it and see if that helps any just for the hell of it.

Gears are definitely gonna need to happen soon. We'll see how life plays out in the next year cause I'd definitely like to get gears and lockers done.

It went smooth overall. At first I wasn't worried, then when I had the fenders pulled with the tires on I was worried lol. Once we got started tacking the pieces in and checking fitment I was at ease.

Big shout out to Ty though, his no-fucks attitude matched with his past experience with tubbing cars helped a ton. Definitely wouldn't have had the nerve to tackle this project without his help.

I did see your post about that truck. I wish that bastard didn't sell that one here locally. I wanted the 5 speed out of that truck pretty bad. Although Igor with a 5 speed would be pretty cool

I have some 1" spacers I'm not using if you need more than a 1/4".

1/4'' won't do anything. You'll want 1'' minimum. Id offer my 1.5s..but only have 2 free right now as i have the other two on the back of Frank still.

Well glad it worked out and went smoothly! I hated doing that..haha was a bitch.

Yea this is a nice truck, motor went out, likely the HGs. IDK what he wants for it yet..gonna go look at it. But if i pass on it, i'll send him to you. He is in sheridan.

You'll need gears very very soon haha like this summer soon. haha

    Well there ya go Josh!
