I can see the AC thing working due to it being a supercharged motor. Probably a Whipple would be my guess..or Roots i suppose. Both high heat designs. Bet it helps, but not like a ton. Id assume it would turn off for the launch itself seeing as how much power get robbed from AC.

You're correct, but unlike regular height control air suspension, theirs has an electronically controlled distribution system that can correct for body roll and lean. It is like a softer swaybar the way they use it, but like everything else made by Land Rover it tends to break and the system is overly complicated and entirely unnecessary for how the vehicle rides. Just something to put on a spec sheet, unfortunately that is a common theme in the luxury market.

Funny you mention that, many of the people I meet on campus scoff at such trades as if it was beneath the poor college student. Yet here I am ready to take my degree and walk right into a trade school ready to learn. I think there is too much pressure for people to achieve degrees as a status symbol rather than for self improvement.

Yea and its just how we are brought up these days. Everyone wants you to go to college and be a doctor or something. Look at public schools these days. Biggest things being cut from schools? Music/Art and Tech classes(Wood working/welding/draft/cad/automotive/ect).

I'll gladly go back to school for welding if my music tech career doesn't take off. Be a ton of demand for it. Or anything like that.

That's because tradesmen are not valued in American culture anymore.

The value is there because whether people like it or not the services are needed. But the respect is missing because physical trades are thought to be less intellectual when in fact there are plenty of intricacies to their work.

Value/respect - same thing people think the money is in the technology fields or get rich quick schemes not building things.

Agreed, a former roommate of mine is taking classes to become a programmer but isn't particularly good at it and frequently misinterprets the instructions for the assignments. He always is grumbling about doing the assignments and they take him up until the last minute to finish. I can't imagine why he sticks with it, but every time he talks about it with me it's about how much money the jobs make. He doesn't take on any programming projects of his own outside of class either. Doing something you don't enjoy or at least have a good aptitude for seems stupid to me, if you aren't enjoying it you won't take steps to make yourself better at it.

Maybe that's America's new legacy, chasing the payday.

I don't particularly love everything about fencing but my skill set is suited to it and it provides enough fun extra opportunities outside of it that I put up with it. The closer I get to debt free the better I feel too because I'm not forced to take jobs I don't think are going to go well just to have a paycheck for the bank

America has hard times ahead I think. Glad I was a young adult before smart phones became a thing. It's ruining kids work ethic and expectations.

Thank god we are talking about something other than American muscle cars. But from a guy that graduated with a very generalized degree so I had more options was a complete fail. He is now returning for his BSN for nursing as currently in the local hospital here alone there are 29 open full time nursing positions. Thankfully I worked hard and saved money and have no school loan debt and won't for my second time. The unfair part is despite good grades I got no help for college from the govt or state or school the first time. Then I was declined hold interest school loans because I already have a bachelors. Which is bull shit since I didn't use it the first time. After college I have so much more respect for trades and those kinds of work due to how important they are for future. If ur going to college make sure u know what the fuck u want to do and do research before u start. College counselors are there to get u in and through so the nonprofit education can make a profit

I'm curious as to how you figure that? I can see it is a distraction for many, but in actual professions I'm not sure it does much. History repeats itself in different forms all the time, today's smartphones were yesterday's landlines. Both powerful tools and time consuming distractions. Don't get me wrong, I think my generation has an overall lousy work ethic but I can't say I blame a device for it. More the mass media culture as a whole.

Smart phones aren't just run in kids. Ruining everyone. Even today through meetings people as constantly checking them.

Is sad trades aren't looked at the same anymore. I've been watching BBC series Hand Made. Unbelievable cool stuff. I love that shit. Hand made. Hell I love doing it. Shame it isn't the same anymore.

I know I want to do what I went to school for. But not gonna be easy to do it.

They just have too many distractions on them more s ok then communication. It cracks me up how easy it is with the 20 different ways to contact someone...yet people still suck at it

It's hard to explain, maybe it's just being older and looking back, The old "we walked uphill in the snow both ways" thing lol. I've hired a few younger guys that just didn't have any drive and I would catch them on their phone during work. When it's your money paying someone $12-$26/hr you expect someone to be earning it. I know not all kids are a loss I'm just saying there seems to be a change going on and I don't see it as positive in some regards I guess

I'm a communications major believe me, I know about shitty communication. Haha, half of what I study is disambiguation and clear contact.

lol it's horrible. I've known kids that were to shy or unsure of themselves to have a face to face convo but could blow my phone up in a txt convo after the fact.

I see it even where I work, and I agree my generation is bad about it. The phone is just the means for the distraction, but the culture of always knowing what others are doing and the fear of missing out is what drives this connected nonsense.

I worked in the hospital and there was a ER tech that was 70 years old and she fuckin out worked all the young 20-25 year olds. She set the tone and I always think about her when I'm working as I was impressed by her working 12 hrs night shifts6 in a row. I work my ass off and I hear it all the time how it's rare that kids my age do this. But that's why I'm much better off than most of the people I went to school with and even college.
