Everyone's different. There are a lot of people who think like that and a lot of people who think the other way. There is obviously no right answer haha

I think that following your passion is commendable for sure. Being a radio host would be a great career, I also have a friend who hosts for Entercom and does voice overs and voice acting in his free time and is happy as can be. You and I seem to view career choices much the same, do what you are passionate about and you'll be much more willing to make everything else work around/with it.

There is a non profit that is near and dear to my heart that needs someone with my degree's skill set and I have contemplated many times putting off automotive education to help them out. The pay would be abysmal but I just know what I'd be doing would be satisfying to me and make me happy. It's a hard choice and one I am still grappling with.

You know I choose to cut my hair short right? So it doesn't bother me that you point it out a lot.

I vote going to work for a non-profit. Good experience and often they try to offset the low pay with some benefits/perks. Not sure if you have school loans but there is a school loan forgiveness program if you work at a non-profit. It would be a good way to end up debt free while still doing something you like.

Yeah I'd have to shave way more often, my beard grows to full cover within a week or so. My hair I only get cut once every 4 months or so, but I let it get pretty long.

I tend to just take it down to a five o clock shadow on purpose so people don't notice the day to day growth, helps me avoid looking lazy.
