Well i bet that old mower will last longer then that honda mower.

I know i found an old Snapper mower for free and if i could find another i'd never let it go. Way more powerful, not choked off by EPA BS, best banging setup known to man, rear drive self propel that worked better then any mower out there. Weighted like 50lbs haha I loved that thing.

My parents gave it away pissed.

The Honda's are good. BUT. Very picky. They do NOT like the ethanol at all. You'll need to clean the carbs a lot on those.

 

that'll help a lot. Should be fine though. I had to clean all our honda motors at weed and pest twice a year or more depending on how much we used the pumps. They don't like that shit. Oil sensor was annoying too.

 

I miss my old lawn boy two stroke mower. Only two stroke anything I've ever owned that fired on the first pull.

 

Nothing wrong with them for sure. Nice motors. Like anything, take care of it, and it'll take care of you. Considering you'll barely be using(relatively speaking) it'll last a long time.

Just winterize it good too.

 

Fuck that. Id never want a 2 stroke mower haha loud and not enough torque.

 

I've never tried ethanol free, its crazy expensive around here, nearly a dollar and a half more per gallon. Although my truck would probably chug along happily on coffee and bacon grease.

 

It was pretty ballsy, from the late 70s and was gear driven. The exhaust was under the deck so the grass would muffle it haha
