Even Michael's Toyota of Bellevue WA has a back room full of SCS wheels. They sell them in the parts dept and put them on Showroom trucks.

But you can still put an ARB in it no problem.

Well..that is one way to do it i guess. Bet the mark up is killer.

 

ATRAC with center diff lock is essentially just an Audi/Subaru knockoff thing right?

 

For sure, markup is def a killer. Plus I don't like Michael's Toyota anyway, but I did make friends with a parts guy there after giving him a hand with a big project list at Home Depot.

 

it uses the brakes basically. Like pulling the ebrake cable a bit but ATRAC can do one wheel at a time.

Not a locker...will help i guess in some situations.

 

i guess if he is supplying distributors...essentially..i'd hope he would order enough and direct ship to them then order enough for his own private sales. Seems he never has enough for his own sales.

 

It could be demand based (ordered direct through VIN when custs come in) but they had a couple full sets on display last time I was there.

 

I bet they have plenty in stock..

They make a water proofsealent for it. You mop it on after u lay the floor. Dumb if u don't do that

 

The 1/4" expansion buffer creates so many headaches with floating floors. We redid our entire house with engineered plank last September and between leaving proper expansion space and getting the intricate lock together system to actually work it was a headache. Hindsight being 20/20 wish I'd just leveled out the subfloor really well and let some real nail down wood floor acclimate for three weeks. Once real wood is acclimated you can go wall to wall no problem and it's a lot easier to trim out after the fact.
