I'm all about some tea too. Tend to drink hot tea in the colder months though.

Mine is so old and crusty (well cured), I'm not sure I can turn it over without it leaking past the plunger. As it is, it is starting to leak air there when I press it down. :cookiemonster:

Dude, it is un-american to not drink coffee in some form. I think it's time for you to turn in your man-card. :p

I've never liked coffee. Just didn't like the taste. Believe me I wish I did, would make staying up late in the field alot easier. I rely on energy drinks and I know those are bad for me so I try to not even use them anymore.

lol I don't drink any of that stuff or energy drinks and I'm up at 430am until 11pm everyday for years. My energy level is through the roof too, if I have caffeine my heart hurts haha and my body doesn't know what to do with it even. Just gotta train yourself better!

lol training wasn't talking about my current ironman training but the idea of not relying on caffeine as ur body doesn't need it. Yes I know I'm missing on camping. When I was swimming in the 62 degree water at 530am this morning I was thinking of all my sacrifices this summer and camping with ben just couldn't leave my mind. Also missing zane rollover in bummed too.

    Hey WY BOYS...

There is some talk between me and some friends about making a trip up to Wyoming's Medicine Bow NP to see the solar eclipse in late August. Wondering if you guys have any advice on spots/locations/trails etc to camp and explore in the mountains SE of Casper and NW of Wheatland... any input would be welcomed. Would entertain locations near Glendo Lake as well... The ideal plan is to find a few good locations in that general area to have as possible sites so that depending on the weather we can re-locate if needed.

NOTE: I've never been to Wyoming and know nothing about that area...

If there's time... would love to meet up with whoevers interested.

That's going to be a terrible time to come out to Wyoming. If I was still living there I would be taking a vacation far far away :p. It will be packed, but check out Seminoe and the miracle mile if you like fishing. Cool area to drive around and see some wildlife.

Jackson and the surrounding areas have been prepping for the shit-show onslaught since last year.

Access isn't the greatest in that area of the NF. Most of the camping is non reservation though so if you get there early you might get a spot. Friend park, Curtis gulch, labonte canyon are some of the better areas. There's a kinda fun trail up to one of the last manned fire look outside in the country it would be an amazing place to view the eclipse. Pretty cool views as you can see for 80+ miles in most directions I'm not sure how many other people would know about it outside of locals.

Yeah, I'm sure the "campgrounds" are full already... I'm not looking for that anyways... Give me some back country spots that arn't going to have a bunch of people around. Any other ideas?

Justin - any more info on that trail you mention?

Jackson will be the the place to be if you want dance around a Stonehenge replica in a loincloth with some kind of tree-wreath around your head while the eclipse is actually happening . From here say they are actually blocking off all National Forest and BLM access in the DUBland a few days prior to the 21st so they don't have one big hippy-dippy mess that they aren't staffed to clean up.

Unfortunately in Wyoming there won't be any such thing, even in the thorofare you can't help but bump elbows these days. Dare I say there are too many out door "enthusiasts".
