I was afraid I'd never be able to say this...but I love my accounting job. JHMR is pretty awesome. Super relaxed, great team, so far a good balanced work load, autonomy and no micro managing..bringing my bike tomorrow for my first bike park lunch break. Kicking aaassss so far!

 

Stick to the east Pryor mountain for the horses. Ice cave is over there too.

Tons of hiking. Haha everywhere. If you want a canyon. Tongue river canyon in big Horns. But it's on the complete other side. Lots of trails outside ten sleep in the south canyon. Shell canyon has lots too.

Glad it's working out! Able to sustain yourself in the area with it full time then? Long term job?

 

Cool, I have Shell Canyon, Ice Cave starred as well. Great minds think alike!

 

Yup. As long as I keep finding affordable rental situations (around 650) I should be all good on bills and play money. Ya, 40 hours a week, year round, paid vacation...still not what I was making In boise, but it's worth it.

I applied for 3 positions, got one then a week before I started they scrapped it due to budget reasons before this one since I got here, by this one when the previous person quit multiple managers were like "hey I got this guy with experience we should hire" haha. They didn't even open it internally.

I don't know how I got so lucky. My motorcycle ride to work every day is just amazing, got the Tetons to my left the whole ride in then on my right on the ride home

 

Have you figured out a way to wheel to the top of one of them gran tiet's?

Morrison Trail is closed until at least the 22nd of this month due to snow and such.

I didn't realize until i was down the road that I would've been able to see it from dead Indian Mountain!

 

Yeah there is a private road too that goes west from on top of the switchbacks that was used to drive cattle for a long time.

Not surprised its closed though. They don't open that unless they are 100% happy with conditions. Dangerous road.

 

Yeah i noticed a second road on the topo.

Bummer.. i was hoping there was something not snow related that i could volunteer to help them do to get it open.

Yup. They showed me pictures of some other trail that'll probably be closed for a while. The whole road is washed out.

Might've been in that area. Someone called in while i was there asking about two other well known trails and she said those were the 22nd at best as well. No idea what they were called though.
