IMO, the impressive part is not how long it took. No, the impressive part is that it only cost $25.

As a book publisher, I deal with this customer service question all the time. "How long will it take to get my order to me" and the answer always is, "what is your tolerance to wallet pain". If it is before 2:00 in the afternoon on a weekday, I can get your order to you anywhere in the conterminous US by 10:00 AM (local) the following day. This is excluding weather that impacts flights like what happened in Houston this week. Both UPS and FedEx offer this service and it is not cheap but is available.

Good point. I guess I forgot that overnight shit can just hop on any of the gazillion flights jetting across this country.

The cost of 25 dollars, and the accuracy are both...staggering

Spotted a Taco with the "new" AT Habitat in Lander today. It's solid aluminum, really beefy. Got to meet the couple who own it and check out the inside, pretty sweet! Fridge and stove on slides inside with a Goal Zero "house battery" and 100W of Solar on the roof of the truck. They're on a 2+month road trip hitting climbing spots across the US before heading to the west coast for the winter. Cool people and fun to talk to.

I would love to have one of those. But at $8K (base) or $25K decked out, I can't quite swing that right now.

You ain't kiddin'. That was the first one I've seen in person, so I was drooling a bit. I don't know if it justifies the price, but I really was impressed with how solid it is, way beyond contractor caps or fiberglass campers... But - I'm sticking with the RTT, it's paid for... :D

Well guys I survived the ironman. It was a long day at 97 degrees and grinding away at the 140.6 miles. Had a hour bike break down and repair midway through that kinda worried me a tad but the bike mechanic had what I needed and got me rolling again. With the bike 100% I got to let it eat a little and made up time with some fast flats. Coming off the bike into the 26.2 mile run I was feeling good, after about 8miles the blisters the size of Texas set in and I had to run/walk the rest. Epic sunset over the lake for the run and a solid finish down main ave with the crowd going wild for the ironmen and women. Great moment. Here is my support squad and my finish.

I appreciate that. Can't say I would do another full ever again but the half i could again. But now the focus is truck stuff and trip focus. Hunting season is getting close too. Glad for the change of pace

man i drew an elk archer tag this year...kinda wish i had more time to actually hunt this year.

Working the first two weeks and then our trip is the last two. My dad was not happy when i told him the trip was the last two weeks as he and i drew together.

I hate you all. :D I've got to sit this season out since I'm not a "resident" for license purposes until December. Good thing there are still steaks in the freezer from last season...

Good luck dude! I have been marking all my elk sightings and can't wait to go explore through September. I didn't get a tag this year with the move but I'll be ready next september!
