No thanks. Not a fan. They look awkward to me. They are too long unless you raise them over the roof. Then I'd have to replace my bed rack. The ones I've seen seem too wide for a 1st gen too.

But wouldn't be a topper with everything secure and dry all the time. Just your bed. Not on the same level of any rtt really no matter how you try and twist it.

Whoa! When was that pic? The truck looks so shiny. No bumpers or anything! Boy, nothing looks better than a nice Imperial Jade Mica headed up some ledge. I don't care what's on the back.

I was pointing out that comparing a rtt that is 100 bucks more to a flippac isn't the same thing.

Because it's a topper camper.

I have had a topper for not very long and spent a total of 20mins with it in person....and I can already tell I won't like it. Packing won't be fun. Unpacking to get shit will be worse. Bed is too small.

Ultimately I'll end up with a rtt and some canvas I think.

I don't seem to recall forcing you to do anything. You came to your own conclusion to get a rtt after a few years of watching us. You got rid of the topper because you didnt like upacking the whole truck every nightm i believe this was deduced on the first Lolo trip...wow that was forever ago..then the tarpedo...well that just didn't work haha. And I remember the moment you confessed you wanted a rtt on shoshone lake. Then went a step further with the hardshell and you love it.

No I don't. Nobody here is all about the topper life. Okay Marc is right now and Brett is..but Brett is going for a GFC so kinda not.

The camper topper life maybe. But that's different. Exands into a place for comfortable living. Not like a normal topper which is confined to what it is. No one is looking for that.

Fun doing what?

I've been doing 12 hour work days since the 3rd straight plus driving 45 mins each way home on deer infested roads. After almost 2 weeks of that it's catching up. Recorded two albums so far. Working on #3 right now.

The worst part is how much editing and post production I'm gonna have to do after this...

 

Nice. Not fun to do that on any vehicle really.

Yeah looking forward to moving to a shorter commute and easier roads will do that next week.

Me too. A job was posted by bungie for a score mixer for games...in Seattle. I want to apply just to see if I could make it.

Finally got the tire off the truck and cleared the fender some more. Beat back the firewall some more and put it back on. I can turn right again (good enough) but the passenger side is still eating into the fire wall. The passenger ORI is about ~1" lower on that side too.

I finally found a mechanic I think I can trust. Going to swing by Monday and see if he can't get the tire further forward and juice up the ORI's for now.

After that I'll get back into clearing if needed. Those MTRs fit better then these duratracs do now so not sure wtf is going on.

 

Did you go with 315s?
Best advice would be to go LT...........No rubbing.
