IDK what the availibility of vape juice is in WY tho, could be a problem

 

Not many stock rides pushing awd 500hp.

 

Is it sustainable without e-juice though?

I'm just giving you shit, every time I go to car meets VW guys put their hoods up and the vapes on display in the dash or cupholder haha just part of the goofy car culture.

 

I had an Audi A3, was a fun little car, awd, like 260hp, plenty of fun. I have driven most of the new hot hatches. You can't get an RS3 here yet (I think).

Focus RS - AWD, fastest, its not overly large, tight fitting seats (Recaros). If he just wants a fun daily and wants teh speed then this is it. Its definatley lowest on the interior "niceness". Ford isn't going to compete with VW on interior quality for a car like a focus.
Golf R - AWD, loved it. I had nothing to complain about the R when I was looking at it. Not quiet as fast as the RS, much smoother tho for day to day driving, and can be had in manual or DSG( VW automatic). Interior was nice, seats were nicer than the RS and didn't squeeze you like the Recaros will.
Golf Gti - Same as R but its FWD so meh.
S3 - No longer a hatch. Its a small sedan. Basically the exact same as the R. Same motor, powertrain, etc. Interior is very similar as well, just Audi basically. Back seat is almost non existant, its definately small. I believe the S3 are asking a bit more than the R is currently, but Ihaven't looked recently.

A decent 2012-2016 Golf R can be found in the CO area for 20k to 30k easy. Depending on if he cars about hatch vs small sedan I would recommend the golf R or S3. If he wants the speed, RS, but it won't be as enjoyable when not really pushing it IMO.

There's a nice used RS here in town at the local dealer. Have to wonder why and how hard it's been ridden. 14k on it for 33k. I'm gonna push for the VW but we'll see. The Ford dealer here has been really good to him.

Golf R is my vote really. Be much more refined for a year round car but still super fun.

RS is no doubt the power brute and more exciting. But to live with daily not sure its a good choice. Also there has been some issues with the motor, heads on them warping and blowing out the HG.

reading the reviews on the energy suspension poly bushings...lots of people mentioned the sleeves not being the right size, but it was from a while ago. You guys know if they fixed this problem with the kit? Are the sleeves the right diameter for the factory bolts and everything should go in fine?

 

I installed a kit on an OEM rack this spring and everything worked fine.

 

Wheelers offers two kits. The one for the '95.5-'00 models includes three sleeves.Probably to address the issue you mention.

 

So im pretty sure the rack i got is the 01-04 rack with the improved roller or whatever it is. if i buy the 95-00 do you reckon the bushings are the same OD/ID and it just has more sleeves than the 01-04 kit? I can always take the sleeves out of my old rack if those dont work...

 

IIRC, the two kits are identical except for the addition of two extra sleeve sizes in the kit for the older trucks. To me this means the sleeve required for the '01-'04 models is included in the 'older' kit. I am guessing that someone from Wheelers should be able to confirm.

Dad said the RS was very similar to the Evo in stock form. Awd felt similar. Really liked it.
