Mike's pulled both of us out of Cisco wash, and pulled him out of Boulder Basin. So it works sometimes at least

 

How did we get the truck off the edge on morrison?

I didn't need it in Oregon. I said it has worked every time when I needed it.

If it was me, I'd buy another X20 10K. The trouble I had in Oregon was not the fault of the winch. It was a corroded control wire I had soldered to extend the controls into the cab. My fault. The issue on morrison was a burned contact in the contractor. This can happen to anyone as the contractor used by SB is the same one used by Warn and Ramsey and Superwinch.

The burned contacts was troubling only because of the severity of the moment. But realistically, this is a normal maintenance issue caused by use and time. That winch has been on the from of my truck for a very long time.

Mine is not wireless.

 

My winch has been used waaaaaay more on other trucks. Just ask Monte. He's been on the end of my hook more than anyone else.

Relentless. I don't have the time to build one decided. The new shop isn't set up yet either. And the fact I nearly hit something every day on the way home just made it more important to get it asap

Want a winch as the county roads are slick and snowy. Co worker ran off the road yesterday and flopped his ford. Sucks. Purely because it was just really Icey out.

yes i know all lines snap. Hell heat from the winch can melt synth line.

But there is a HUGE difference between steel cable snapping and synth line snapping. One will kill some one or seriously damage a vehicle. One will not.

I don't think so. Hell i've used snatch blocks probably half the time i've helped run a winch. Did for Mike situation, my Dads, Marcs, Zanes, and Mine. But the biggest reason why it isn't a go too is it take more time and more cable. I mean at the most you would have a 40' reach or so with a snatch block.

Tow trucks and wreckers? Simple. Cost. They run 1/2'' or bigger cable to be able to tow up full size trucks easily. Idk how much cable they have on a drum, but id guess its 200'? Maybe more? That is expensive as fuck to get synth line like that. And considering most tow trucks are small businesses, they can't afford that. Im sure there are some that do though. Where as you look at shipping yards and boats and a lot have got to synth line.

 

My X2O 10k has been great. Seriously used it 3 times to rescue myself and once to pull a Subaru out of a irrigation ditch up a hill. Same syn line since new with no sign of needing replaced.
