I have to rotate every oil change with the Taco, the cruiser can be every other (closer to the 6000mi recommended). That said my tires are all pretty evenly worn even though the KO2s are so freaking temperamental.

 

Yeah I dropped the ball pretty bad here. Probaby would have lasted longer. But im still on course to get 35k out of them so whatever.

 

What're you supposed to get out of them? I'm like 40% tread at 38-42k miles with the KO2s

IMO, 35K is pretty good. I am lucky If I get that much before I start to dislike the set. Once the edges of the tread blocks get rounded, they lose their ability to bite for traction. This is regardless of tread depth.

 

Gotta start doing some smoky burnouts to sharpen the tred blocks then

 

Hell yeah, 4 wheel burnouts... Do them all the time.

 

You could do two wheel burnies and then rotate, get that maint outta the way too haha. If a measly 4cyl can do a burnout surely you can manage a couple haha.

 

This looks like way more fun...

 

Oh, and we can't forget that burnouts actually extend the life of the tread by reducing the height of those pesky tread blocks.

 

When you're burning off KO2s it doesn't matter haha. I suppose yours might be tougher to get to slip haha

 

I have a tread depth gauge, I'll measure them when I get off work. Maybe they're taller, the fronts are starting to look low though so I'm not too hopeful for those at least.

My tread depth is getting pretty low on the front.

Will need new tires before long.

Man. Igor is sucking the Frank money away again..

 

Just get some used tires for winter weather, save some cash and keep you from breaking or wearing out Igor more than necessary with camping and such.

 

Well..i still have to fix the whole front. And do the engine maintenance. I really need to fix Franks spindle to get him up here so I could drive him while I have Igor down for a few days. Matt just told me if the Solo spindles are stock geometery they should work...so that could be my big upgrade for Frank this year. Fabbed spindles, Unibal lowers, Heim steering.

I'm honestly thinking about buying the xlt kit. Comes with the fabbed spindle....but God damn.2" wider. Idk if I can do that. I do have plans to 4 link the rear though..18" of travel would go well with that..

Still love my kit though. I think if I added the spindle and stuff it would be awesome.

 

For sure. Yeah the width will be tight on trails. But being able to run 10” on the front. I think it’s one of the best kits out there for our 4x4 trucks. Wish I would of know about it before I did my front.
