Nice, I've been combing the webs for wiring diagrams. There seems to be just enough info, but not a whole lot. I haven't even really started yet and I think DT's is justified in their pricing lol.

Got the motor mounts in, so much better in every way. Less vibes now believe it or not and it let me line up the tranny mount better. Shits together now :)

 don't give up now! Haha
I bet it is smoother considering you have jello mounts up front and poly out back.

yeah intergrating the wiring well in a motor swap is by far the worst part. why if i did a 2jzgte id totally pay the 1200 bucks it is to have the 2jz and tacoma harness spliced together.

The Tacoma harness is hardly worth saving, especially if you have manual everything. Aftermarket ECU and aftermarket gauges would be less wiring and more convenient.

eh. I know you can get it made so it plugs in and all the tacoma stuff works as normal. OBDII port and all. For a clean install, what Id do. I don't need aftermarket gauges and is cooler more OEM looking

I'd just do what @Tyler Lacasse is doing then and use mostly Lexus parts. Not really a huge amount in a Tacoma harness to splice into, at least not mine haha. I suppose Frank has power stuff maybe it's worth it. But I'd just splice it myself if I wanted to keep any of the OEM junk. Aftermarket ECUs from Haltech support OBDII and simulating OEM gauge signals now.

Yeah for me I want to get better at understanding the electrical side so the only way I know how is to just jump in and do it. I find it stays with me better than if I just read about it or someone tried to explain it
