Yeah engine is all out too so you could crawl in there easy enough to unbolt the other end if you needed to.

Nah, just unbolt it all from inside. There is a joint by the pedals you disconnect to remove the column. Plus would give me the wiper stalk and my switch might be bad on mine so..win win for me.

It's less Tacoma and more mod
I have all that junk from mine if you want it, even have the computer and steering wheel controls. But FWIW I don't think any of the wiring is there if you didn't have it from the factory.

3.0 170ish HP and 300ish torque. Power band is 1800-3400 RPM. Should be fun.

As of now I'm not looking to up it. Just enjoy it for what it is. I imagine being mated with the R150 it will be a fun commuter in stock form.

1kd-ftv, toyotas bread n butter from 2000 to 2015, its the upgraded 1KZ-TE. Hopefully going to stuff it in the 4 door. Other than Diesel Toys doing their thing I have found no success story into a first gen. I can only find 2 threads of an attempt. First guy tried to revert it back to a mechanical engine and totally messed it up. 2nd guy bought one and has yet to start and I can't remember what he is going to put it in. Since I didn't get a half cut it's going to be interesting reading wiring schematics and getting things wired up as they should. I lack knowledge in that department so by the time it's done I'm hoping to have it be less intimidating. Can't wait for the day it first kicks over and idles.

Sweet! A four door diesel would make a perfect daily . Can't wait to see that happen.

Me too, and I'm quite sure we aren't the only ones. I think the price tag on having DT do scares most people away. Hoping to create a resource for the DIY guy to make it less intimidating but we will see. I can already see why DT has the price tag on it they do. There is a lot to know and I'm only getting started.
