I know exactly what you’re saying, and you’re completely correct, I could have redone the stock suspension and stuffed 265/75/16’s under and it and probably have not needed to go up a size. But the bottom line is I enjoy the mod process and incrementally going overboard. In defense of my current setup it feels better going 60mph over washboard dirt roads then my old setup. We all seem to forget, though that all these “crawling” trails were originally done by Willy’s jeeps or equally un-modified vehicles. So why do we do all these mods? Cause we like it.

Looks like they all have small shank hole for stock LBJ, which if that's the case I see no real value to these unless the price is plus or minus 100 from stock replacements. If you can go for a lower uniball wouldn't it be oriented sort of unideal?

Just looked in the comments, yeah stock LBJ only, can't fit a 1" uniball in the space.

    haha nothing wrong with that!

    I can say..doing 35s was a PITA for a mod..but i enjoy them.

Like i said earlier, the real advantage will be dual shock mounts and if a bump stop can can fit.

As for geometry of the LBJ, shouldn't matter too much, its the tie rod that i think might have problems.

I meant for a uniball, it would put pressure on the minimal contact side of one. Instead of being oriented vertically. I suppose anything to lessen the harshness of the stock short arms would be nice. I suppose I won't have to worry about any of it anyway.

That’s exactly where I’m coming from, I’d spend over 10k in welding equipment and practice just to be able to tub for 35’s. But man I like how they look...so someday who knows?

It's half the reason I bought a new welder for my last project, just gotta find a good sealer for after the work before I dive in.

That was fun. And didn't have to stand around in the snow and cold this time.

I think he means doing the trail in person and not living life vicariously through the internet is the better option.

Oh probably. I wasn’t living through the video I was complaining about the video being 1/4 of the screen. I did watch 1 minute of the video

Yeah that is a small viewing area, sorry I was projecting my own regrets about pissing away time on the internet rather than making things happen.
