Fair enough, I just wouldn't trust Firestone to do it right.


Getting the tools and learning how to do your own alignments is very much worthwhile of those of us that are offroading and working on suspension a lot.

 

My guess is you are not nearly as particular as I am. You would not challenge them (Toyota tech) if it was not exactly as you wanted it like I would.

Having the lifetime alignment package is a lot like shooting digital. Could you go back to shooting film? I don’t think you could (if you ever did). Film is way too restrictive and would end up being very expensive for all the film you must go through to shoot as many frame as you do with digital capture.

FWIW, I’ve probably used the lifetime deal 15 times in the last 5 years. At $70 a pop, that would add up to over $1,000. Makes the $150 I spent well worth it, even with the challenges of finding and keeping an experienced tech.

 

Thats my plan.

 

I went ballistic on a Lesser Schwab tech once. Drove my truck off the alignment rack before he had even set it all the way down and sped off. He was a dipshit and I had just spent a day straight working on suspension, wasn't about to let him try to sell me on something I 100% knew I didn't need.

 

So say you had 6 days coming up where you could get out of the rain and cold. What trails would you run? Oh, and it takes some time to get out of the rain and cold, so maybe 3 days on the trail.

So south. Maybe I should just drive down there in the fall, get a storage unit for the truck, and then fly back and forth until June. Then bring the truck home.

 

So I was out playing around near Tensleep the other day - I assume that was bentonite mud I ran into. How important is it for to to get that off my truck? Should I be conscious of washing my truck fairly often? Besides hard to get off, can it damage anything if left on for long time? Any other recommendations?

 

Won't damage anything over time. Id highly recommend trying to wash it off within 30 minutes. Its like super glue. You'll never get it totally off so can be a bit of a bitch when working under the truck.

Utah. Only like thousands of miles of roads down there to check out. My GPX track database of that state are ridiculous.

but pretty much any of the desert stuff.

I hope this summer is longer than last years. This winter has been brutal.

Haha yeah one of the mods from ih8mud live right around the corner and occasionally I hear his cruiser screaming down the street. But yeah it's like 5k for what basically amounts to an Eaton M90 which is kinda small for a 4.5l engine.

 

Looks exactly the same as my blower just mounted vertical. Definitely small for the motor. Bet its fun though still. Never seen or heard of it before.

That one is a beat up truck and 18K LOL wtf. looks like shit.

 

Yeah it's pretty clapped interior wise, surprised the leather was still mostly intact. The SC is cool but at most it can make 10lbs but the air charge is nuclear hot at that point. Good news is they basically require no fueling mods to run up to like 8psi. But they make 7th and 8th injector kits for the folks that wanna push the blower and intercooler it.

 

a meth kit sounds like it would help then. Pretty cool though. Bet it wakes up the truck. I know it woke mine up.

Quick glance and yeah no LC axles around me..damn.

 

I verified the horn and cruise control work normally and the airbag light is not on. Seems like its all good.

I have another alignment scheduled for tomorrow after work. We'll see if they can get 3.5, 0, and 0.

 

Glad to see it getting used. The new owner made some cool changes.
