fixing that stupid bed rattle finally!

I can't find my favorite one where a haybundle punched through, bummer it was a good pic. You guys have a bed mount that eats itself away on a mounting bolt too. I only chose links with pics, but you can easily find more.

 

Even more fun with the trailer wiring, between getting home and hooking up the trailer...my entire blue sea panel isn’t sending power to any accessories. It’s liek it just died at he breaker. Gonna pull out the multi meter and figure out where :/

 

Well despite all the bull shit, trailer brakes work. I can activate them manually from the cab, and they are working seemingly fine to slow the trailer. Only did a slow speed test around the block but it’s enoigh I feel confident to bundle up the wires and clean them and tuck away

 

Side note, looks like some asshole stole one of my 6 ton jacks that was being used as a wheel chalk in the last week

 

Is this on Sluggo? My brake controller was a paint to wire in so I redid everything because a mix of stock and aftermarket was creating a pretty bad mess and ground issue.

 

It is ya. I was right in the middle, there was the 4 way flat wires that worked and were salvageable but kind of gross, so I fixed a few ground ends, then had to put in the brake controller which is only one wire to the back so it’s. Not that big of a deal. It was more the trailer wiring that was a cross cross mess.

But my blue sea box failing is really fucking annoying

 

I was mostly curious how Sluggo tows. 4cyl, auto, 35s, and 4.56s seems like it might make for an interesting ride haha

 

Lol that’s nothing. Look how Many Tacoma’s there are over 12 years worth with that bed and a handful of examples. I’ll keep the weight reduction and less rust and not have to buy a Bedliner for a few guys having issues vs 100000 other people being fine.

 

I don't like the possibility of cracking a bed, but your guys' truck look awesome with those aluminum flatbeds, fits the truck better than the stock one does. I suppose with a short bed the chances of the bed being fed a hot supper are lessened anyway, kinda hard to fit anything big enough to break it

230 for the optima red or yellow top. Or do I just want to pull the trigger.

 

Go to AutoZone and get a DuralastGold they're AGM and made by Deka. Should last a long while

 

Or should I just spring for the optimas? Am I behing dumb by trying to go middle road on the battery?

A sealed battery probably isn't a bad idea considering your hobby with the truck.

AGM, both optima and those DuralastGold are AGM sealed batteries
