Simple trips and no offroad you say? Sounds like a great time to leave Frankgor in your new house's garage/shop and use the red truck. Or the Insight.

And hey, I bet you could trade someone your Tundra components for some Toyota ones, to get those 15" rims back on, 'cuz you know you love the C's! hahahahaha

ok, I'll stop now, and honestly - whatever plan you go with will be fun I'm sure :)

True. Could get rid of the tundra stuff pretty easy I bet. I would do that actually to keep my Cs. If i was doing that haha

Lil red truck is okay on the highway, cab is a bit louder though. But the big one is there is no room in the cab at all. Which I like for a commuter as it stays clean that way. But not so nice for a road trip..haha

Insight get great mileage. But I don't fit in it very well. Not for hours anyways. I don't enjoy it that much. Works but yeah.

I will have a shop next year god damn it! haha That is the biggest downer in my life right now..another winter without major truck progress..

I have no intention of changing Igor. Other that maybe adding a locker as that would be nice in some situations. But hasn't stopped me yet really. Almost has, but hasn't.

And yes, well aware of the stuff these things can do..sans locker especially. Hell I've only done I think like..1 whole trip and two half trips with a locker haha

The goal was to Make Frank more like Igor really. But able to keep up with my need for da speed. Which Frank does now. But is not like Igor in that is a decent place to be in for 8-12 hours on the highway haha Could be with some work which was what I was leaning towards but starting with a double cab would negate a lot of that.

Idk. If the dude sells it for super cheap I'll take it. Not gonna otherwise. I can wait to do that project. Not like I've stopped doing fun trip because I don't have Frank. But I do spend a lot of time on the trips wishing I had Frank..

I want a selectable. No need for the autolocker. Too many highway miles and driving in snow to allow that. Harrop won't be cheap but will be nice.

Tires always hurt. I should have jumped on the discount tires deal on ebay. Could have gotten new 35s for Frank for under 900 bucks..

My grandpa has 2 sitting at his house, would just need to get it running And find a place to put it. And bring the gray truck up cause it’s all set up for that hunting.

I like the SR8s. Don't see a lot of them. Was going to get those before the Ray10s came out. Wish the brushed bronze was a standard color. None of Vin's wheels are cheap. But are all really nice. Coming out with a 17x9 Ray10 soon, that should be dope.

Just manners on asphaut is something you'll have to adjust too. Not a deal breaker usually. But you'll have to watch it in bad road conditions on the road.

Igor still sees plenty of snow driving. Though this year so far has been tame thank god for snow compared to last. Devin will likely have to drive Igor a few times I'm sure to work.

Would your wheels now work with tundra brakes?

Same. Well, except the BS. But shoot, I want to solve that some other way than new wheels. hahahahaha

I always think of wheels as being relatively cheap - I mean, their cost is similar to a tire, and it's not like we don't go through tires more quickly than wheels...or at least I do.

The SR8s are the same dude haha Faux Beadlockers.

Of course you can pay OMF to make SR8s or Ray10s into real bead lockers if you want..

Your wheels look like the Volk TE27 or whatever their most famous wheel is knock offs.

True..though some go though wheels like crazy..

    nice.

Those things only attached to one bolt per side? Did the plate not sit flush with the crossmember?

Didn't think you even really hit that thing much.

That's why it's OK to spend a bit of $$$ on a set you really like, so you don't feel the need to go through wheels, IMO. Or do you mean they destroy the wheels? That's crazy.

Listen mister. It's three. And the first set were 31's. :luvya:

...but I think I've only got another year at most on these ST Maxx's :(; been driving a lot this year. A quick check shows 68 days of trips so far in 2018, not to mention weekend one-nighters.

One bolt per side at the cross member. Then two big (19mm) bolts up front to the front skid, and two M8's at the back end to the frame. So six anchor points. Doesn't quite touch the cross member as I recall.

I don't remember hitting it all that hard either - esp compared to the front, but the other side is cracked too so :notsure:. weird part is the crack on the other side is such that it looks like the skid was pulled down, away from the truck. Again, :notsure:.

Anyway, while it's off for tcase work, I'll either weld it all back together or weld in an entirely new brace across that part of the skid.

Hey all, I'm a Tennessean. But after my fiance graduates from veterinary school we are hitting the road. Wyoming and Montana are on our short list. How does everyone like the lifestyle?

I really enjoyed spending time in Bozeman last year but frankly it seems as if the only steady industry is mountain tourism or farming. What does everyone do for a living?

I've got a Supply Chain degree and work in transport and warehousing. She can work anywhere obviously
