MT has some pretty heated races this year. And some intense state wide initiatives that are touchy.

 

I can't vote in AZ but it actually sounds like it will be rather close. I think I have a decent idea what WA is gonna do haha, bit it always has the potential to surprise I guess

 

Why can't you? All I had to do was give an address and SS and that was it. MT you only need to be there for 30days. Surely you can register there.

 

Because then he would have to register his vehicles there and probably also pay state income taxes.

I do pay the AZ taxes, the vehicle reggo and insurance is the only thing I don't wanna bother with only to have to change it back in short order

Completely, down to a block and rotating assembly. Went through it to bulletproof for boost. Heads are rebuilt and ready to rock. Trans I resealed and fixed the shifter. I'm reassembling the long block and cleaning up the EFI harness right now. Been like this for a few weeks though as I prepared...

 

You did the heads but not the pistons/rods and bearings?

 

I checked the tolerances on the mains and rods, they didn't need to be touched. Rods and crank are already forged on a VG30 so no reason to fully tear down. I was contemplating changing the Pistons for forged but at 25lbs of boost there isn't much to worry about. This stock bottom end is known to hold 700hp reliably. I'm only going for 400-425. Anything above that is gonna require quite a bit more than just Pistons. Haven't put the heads back on yet cause I was considering throwing bigger cams in first. Still not decided on that yet

 

ah gotcha. Idk shit about nissan motors really other than a bit about the RB25.

I don't think anything more than 450 is worth it for a street care. That is plenty of power to kill yourself with haha

Twin turbos? Single?

 

Single, holset HX35 with a .53 turbine housing and changing the stock compressor wheel out for a billet unit. Should come on pretty aggressive starting at 2800 and build to the top of 38-3900, the thing revs to 7200rpm so I think that's pretty reasonable. And unlike the stock turbo cars with their low compression. I'll actually have some low down grunt too

 

Ah nice.

The HX35 is nice. Be great with a billet wheel. With a rev range that high you'll be good. I still prefer less turbo lag personally just so it's more fun to drive on the street.
