Anyone scoring black Friday deals? I'm eyeing a few grand in audio gear but doubtful I'll pull the trigger on them haha

 

Nope just two crispy on the outside juicy on the inside birds done in under 2hrs.

 

Get a taranis radio, download a Simulator, and play with your radio plugged into your computer for a long time. If you love it then build a drone if not then sell the radio and move on. Good Sims are DRL, liftoff, freerider, velocidrone.

 

Oh I meant just in general like online. I've never done black Friday in a store. Flying today. Just did a 4 hour flight. Ugh. One to go. Might stop at HF for some storage solutions on the way home for cheap. Or wait till Sunday.

They never asked me though.

 

You hold the rights to any photo you take. They can't use it without your permission. Did you to send it to them, or did they pull it off a web site or something? If you sent it to them it could be implied that you are giving them permission. If you are OK with them using it, you might still want to contact them, and bust their balls on it. Then let them know it's OK., but remind them that they need to get permission first in the future.

So you can't get mad at anyone using your photos now really haha

Why aren't you watermarking them? its an auto feature in LR..if you link Flickr to LR and upload through LR it does it automatically.

You don't have to water mark it to hold the rights. If you took the photo you hold the rights. The only exception is if you are working for someone as a photographer. In that case the person you are working for holds the rights.

 

true but its not being used as advertising. And its on Flickr which likely means its under CC license so LROR isn't doing anything wrong. They aren't going to suddenly put Bens name on it or anything either. All they will do is say sorry and swap it for something else.

 

It's being used to advertise "Rear Suspension Parts" on their web site. The photo being on Flickr doesn't change anything. If I could just use photos from Flickr willy nilly without permission or compensation it would sure make my job easier, and save me a lot of money. You are correct however that if he complains, all they would probably do is say sorry and remove it. I was just saying he should bust their balls a little. Maybe get a discount on his next order or something. He took a nice photo, he should be compensated for it. Especially if they are using to further their business. Sorry, I have little tolerance for people who don't respect copyright laws.
