The Gold piece is the dust sheild that is part of the actual axle.

The seal is inset in the diff but not that far, you will easily easy them right there after the axle is pulled. Easy to pull too as you can get anything behind them without damaging anything else.

It's a few inches in. That gold-ish thing is not a seal.

Basically just cleaning around the seal where dirt has accumulated with the oil that’s leaking. Don’t have to get to crazy on it as monte was saying.

3 of them. Should have just done all 4 but I didn't want to spend another 204 bucks.

Honestly, I'd leave the 17 as is man. Maybe new tires, but Id keep the wheels and runs stock size tires. No need to go bigger and hurt the ride with that lift and mpg with bigger tires. Just drive it.

    Bold statements...haha

Take way more than wheels and tires to get your 3rd gen up to par. Need to make it EAF to win.

Just do like all the other 3rd gens do. Staple some traction boards to the roof, relocate the spare to a single spire in the bed, mount a bumper that looks like it would fit a freight train better, and throw some KO2s on that are just big enough to make it feel slow, but not big enough to help you get over things. Then complain endlessly about whether or not to regear.

I'm writing a book on modding third gens right now, that was the first half of the first page.

    Dood.

I feel like that's the second half of the first page. The first half includes several empty rotopax, a fox wing awning, and Yakima tent.

All of that however, comes after the stickers for your #Insta and YouTube channels.

    Sheesh.

Your notes have been taken under advisement. Unfortunately the "bro" I run all my writings by for this novel is still trying to find his way out of a parking garage without scraping off his light bars on the roof.

    That looks cool!

    Well...i did it.

    My first HF purchase ever.

Got a nice US General tool chest and a Yukon work bench for cheap due to black friday stuff. Picked up a few other small organizational things too. Guy gave me even more discounts on top of the discounts. Now to order some LED lighting for the garage. Then a reorganize and then I can at least do the damn oil in a snow free spot all winter.

I could use some better lighting, but I doubt those would work when it gets cold here.

Yeah I know you did that. Funny as I was looking at them right as you did them. Those these were what I was looking at: https://www.amazon.com/Double-Tube-...ch-Warehouse/dp/B01DBFG1TO?ref_=fsclp_pl_dp_6

the ones you got are single tubes and also way cheaper..

Also...you got a wire hanging down there :p clean that shit up! :D

Whys that? My garage isn't heated so I need mine to work..never had issues with LED in cold temps before..

Yeah saw the mounting. Much easier. Wish the extension cables were longer but can order other ones. Not worried about height too much as i will never open the tent in this garage, it would never fit ha

Also with the 8 pack was available in 4000k.
