Thick mud and little rocks killed my last front tcase seal. I dug a lot out of the dust cap and it pitted the shaft so I had to overdrive the seal to get it to seal again.

Yeah but you don't have a belly pan skid. That helps keep some of that off of Mike's...sort of.

I suppose that the water flow on the first one in the canyon would have eventually subsided but at the time it felt like we really had no choice if we wanted to get out and keep going to our next destination. The second one, well, once you had crossed, Dan and I had no choice but to follow. And it was only then that we realized we were being watched.

Actually, the belly pan skid may act to trap and funnel the flow of the silt right into the t-case. When I removed the skids, there was a thick (1") layer of dried utah all over the upper side of it.

Let's test the theory - does Mike hit the puddles just as hard?

Coincidentally, today's installment of F.U.Rain Day 6 - Less Than Two Seconds - is a good day to check since Mike was apparantly leading. (wait, Mike leading? :p)

Puddle 1 - Mike did pretty well.

Same puddle - Monte killed it. We all got a good :rofl:out of this one as I recall...

Puddle 2 - Mike still leading, but let's check out Monte first...you know, to see where the bar is:

Pretty good Monte. But how about Mike?

    :rofl: :mudding::mudding::mudding:
    Go Mike!

Man, that was a fun day. Full story here: F.U.Rain Day 6 - Less Than Two Seconds

Lol, my furloughcation isn’t that great. We are just riding it out since pay isn’t guaranteed. So we have just been finding projects to knock out that are low cost (aside from the truck). It’s been nice to have some time to focus on the gym and give the dogs some much needed attention. They love getting a walk everyday haha.

I really wish I could work though. I had some cool projects lined up and deadlines that will have to be pushed back. O well.

Yes, elaborate please haha. I thought things were going good for you two? Good luck! We are also hoping 2019 is nice to us.

yeah that can't be fun after more than 3-4 days haha

Hopefully it gets sorted. Doesn't look like it'll be any time soon sadly though.

    lol fair enough.

So does that mean relocation is possible soon? Or just new gig in town?

Hey stranger. Good to hear from you.

That is great news on the truck. Too bad you don't get these furloughs during wheeling season.
