im buying a snorkel, to avoid a repeat of my air intake turning into a hot mud intake. and i got a good 9.5k winch with some synthetic cable. sluggo gets upgrades!

i mean i could go with the deckplate and be cheap...but im trying not to be cheap

 

I've thought of doing a cowl snorkel but. Meh.

 

ya, i could run a bendy intake hose back into the side of the engine bay into the cowel...but i think id rather just pony up and throw a snorkel on it and keep it more simple.

 

Im just going to add liners and be done with it. No need for the snorkel.

well considering you brought up looks twice in this statement..thats a good reason not to get one imo. I don't like them. Did at one time. Now..not so much. Less busy is better.

fender tube has been plugged for years. Deckplate mod. There is dirt in there. But the filter does its thing fine. Just need to make liners for it and clean it.

 

I'd worry about the front end and the lack of interior first

 

i didnt know who's flappy fender you were talking about tbh lol. I was thinking "come on my front fender isnt that flappy"!!

good. i hope I can keep it that way

and that is what I would like to avoid.

like that one time in moab when i tried to start my truck in the morning and it wouldnt turn over...tried a few things, looked at the air filter and it had caved in and tried to swallow a huge ass clump of rock/mud/dirt.

 

Oh yeah. Well..mostly the front end and rear suspension. Then I can drive Frank again at least. IDGAF that much about the interior for the shorter local trips. And thats an easy project anyways. Just need the space..

 

Hard to get mud in there when it’s parked.....an I right?
