 I'm onto you now. I'm slowing down again. But oh man, I can tell it's going to be hard, even just around town with the new setup.
Sometimes. Unless they'll wait for you, which it turns out they will. Usually.
Clearly the motto of my life. They still haven't realized that I really drive a Ridgeline.

    :brianr: you all :D

    easy test.

Remove the sway bar. Takes 15 minutes. You'll know if thats the issue or not.

And by poly bushings in the end links do you mean where the bar is connected to the end links? Because the chunk is more likely where the end link connects to the LCA.

Well just remove the end links then. Will be the easiest way to eliminate that. And its more often than not the reason for the chunk. Sometimes its also smacking the coils.

If you lowered the lift an inch all around or so you wouldn't feel the need for the front sway bar as much. Right now your so high the swing of the 3 link makes the lean worse.

Eh I don't pay attention enough. Last photo I saw still looked tall.

I don't see the need for the front.

    sounds expensive.

But it'll run a long time.

Don't you have projects lining up for the rig?

I thought you were due for a clutch too.

And valve covers? That's like super easy. Haha why is that intimidating?

    Same tires?

Can you get the cams out? The problem we had with Mike's truck when we were replacing the bushings was that we couldn't get the cams out without cutting them.

Cam's weren't cheap as I recall though - something on the order of $70 each locally - which may play into your decision. Personally though, if I had to replace the cams, I'd probably go for new Whitelines too, since they'll be better long term than the ACdelco stuff.

@Digiratus - do you have the part # on the cam assemblies?

@Squeaky Penguin has noticed his white lines starting to deform.

The LCA bushings are just a shit design as they end up never straight and wear out.

With that in mind, Id go for the Whitelines still as they will be easier to replace in the long run.

And ditto on the cams. That can be the worst part..DO NOT get the aftermarket Moog ones. It is well documented these do NOT last and everyone that has tried them, ends up having to get OEM ones anyways.

You have to remove the cams to take the LCAs off. Thats what holds them in. They very well could be seized up in there depending on the corrosion your area subjects you too.

    Franks came out fine.

Yes, you'll have the same cam problem regardless - we couldn't get the LCA's off without cutting the cams (and sleeves). If you couldn't get it aligned anyway, you could just try taking them out one at a time to see if you can get them out (and then reinstall in the same orientation). If you can, then you won't need new ones and it's just a decision about LCAs vs bushings.

@Digiratus - still interested in the assembly part # for myself :)

Whitelines are still the best option.

My cams are maxed, which is the main part of the problem. Was super close to pulling the trigger on some heimed uppers to help fix that, but haven't got there yet. I also like to go from full extension to full compression and back again very frequently, which I assume puts more wear on those.

Id love to solid mount the lowers and Heim uppers like Marcs truck. Fucker never has to change his alignment haha

One of the cool things that Camburgs LT kit has, uniball LCAs.

Yes it would be a performance increase.

Though something tells me ACdelco rubber bushings will not last as long as the OEM rubber.

You don't need a press, you can use the stock OEM jack to press them out quite well. Lots of documentation on people using it for that.

^^^ This. Ben - we had to use my OEM jack on one of MIke's LCA's. I'd say it worked better than the press. And we used a heat gun rather than a torch to heat everything up - just to be on the safe side (and preserve paint, etc.)
