Yeah, I definitely don't want to trust them. I've really been hoping they'd pop on a local trail run. Only excuse I can use that would probably work on the wife for new tires.

Obviously no dogs isn't a deal breaker. I'm just terrible about getting him excercise and he loves camping/offroading.

Depending on how early I can get off work that Friday the 22nd, I may start heading up that day.

We we will try to get into UT I think maybe on Friday. Could be a tall order. See what happens. Not sure where I'll end up.

Be nice to have the dog along. I know people sneak their dogs in through the south gate which is were we will be leaving. haha

Most the stuff we will be on will be just dirt road I think so you'll be okay I think. If not we will figure it out.

Is there any type of backcountry permit we need?

yes and no. I bought the permits for the camp sites. To run Elephant hill we need a permit which they hand out day of at the visitor center. I've never not gotten one so Im not worried about us getting it after leaving that morning from Peekaboo

Buried under 2-3' of snow sadly. With temps hitting -30 to -10 consistently I haven't pulled the bed to replace the pump yet.

I would think taking the bed off would be easier, specially if you have a fullish tank and a buddy or two to help get it off and on.

dropping the tank is only nice if its basically empty.

You don't even have to take off the whole bed really just unbolt it then tip it up or on this truck Im just going to have to slide it back a bit. Still its really easy to remove the bed with two people which I have friends that will help lift it off and lay it in the yard.

I still don't know 100% if its the fuel pump either. But I have a new one ready to go in just need the right conditions.

well I tried swapping the fuel filter last time and fuel would not stop pouring out. Not sure what that means..

Another reason I think its the fuel pump is if it sits for a while and I go and crank it is barely almost tries to start. Then nothing no matter what happens. Its like the fumes almost getting it going and then there is nothing there to actually keep it going.

Yeah its an empty bed...well sorta, its full of snow right now haha but I can shovel that out. Supposed to be in the 50s next week..but i don't believe that. If that's the case could be my window of time.

I also need to change the oil in Igor and bolt on a stock skid somehow to at least cover the radiator as my stainless one won't fit with the OEM radiator. Replacement aluminium one won't be here for who knows how long. And I'd like to swap the brake calipers and rotate the tires before the trip in 3 weeks.

I would go for the line under the hood, I hate the fuel filter location on these trucks, drips everywhere.

Also fuel pump is part of the circuit opening relay on the inside fuse panel. Maybe the relay went bad? @Blackdawg

I just drained my fuel tank yesterday by jumping the wire that went into the relay is the only reason I know. Going to drop mine here shortly to remove the pump.

I check the relays, figured that was the issue too or a fuse. Everything was fine under there though.

I didn't notice anything out of the ordinary. Pressure washed it pretty well underneath the same day we got back though - so not much time for it to stew.

Oh, plus, you'll recall that I didn't do this in the saltiest water on earth and then let it stew for 3 days in the desert.

Yeah tell me about it. My fixit list and mod list is miles long due to the three trucks.

Need to get the little truck on the road and a new rear leaf spring and clutch. Then I think it'll be good for a long while. I'll probably cave and get AC for it too this year and maybe CC.

Igor is mostly okay right now other than what I just mentioned. But the suspension needs rebuilt. Shocks need rebuild and new leaf springs.

Franks...well..thats pretty much a full build haha

Clean slate would be sort of nice. Partly why I wanted another double cab to morph into Frankenstein. But whatever. Lots of money and time to do that and I don't have the space either.

So far seems to be just fine.

Im not sure the little truck would make it that far haha last I drove it, it didn't feel good. The motor mounts are shot too which doesn't help, I have Franks Old ones to go in though. Was gonna put the TG ones in but haven't put the Bozen Mounts in Frank yet.

wait you have a roommate? What?

Yeah it would. But I'll get my own likely. Have two manuals so I'll need it. Frank needs a new one as well. Probably get the LCE Comp clutch for him.

It has slipped since I got it, but not bad, only uphill in 5th. But then started to in 4th. So its time!

wow. Didn't know that. Crowded house I bet.

Uh..not many..But it is starting to slip. Had it since 2013 the fall. But not a lot of miles thats for sure. Lot of hard ones though.

It was a ceramic one, so not super good to crawl with. Why the LC Pro comp will be better as its a hybrid clutch with one have cermic but the clamp side is standard clutch so you can ride it better for starts and hills and things but you get the main clamping force of the ceramic on the otherside.
